For those seeking a sizable OLED monitor upgrade that’s great for gaming and work, Amazon’s got a great ASUS bargain worth checking out.

As of March 10, the ASUS ROG Strix 32-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor (XG32UCWG model) is down to $799 at Amazon, marked down from its $999 list price. This impressive monitor uses a 32-inch TrueBlack Glossy WOLED panel with a dual-mode setup, meaning you can run it at 4K resolution and 165Hz for cinematic single-player games like Red Dead Redemption 2, then switch over to 1080p at 330Hz when you want a speed-focused setup for competitive shooters like Fortnite and Valorant

This ROG Strix model also boasts a 0.03ms response time and G-SYNC compatibility, which adds even more appeal for anyone chasing smoother gameplay.

This model includes ASUS OLED Care Pro and a Neo Proximity Sensor that can detect when you step away, then shift to a black screen to help reduce panel wear over time. That won’t erase every OLED worry, but it does make the feature set feel a little more practical for daily use beyond just gaming sessions.

On top of that, the monitor checks a lot of boxes for hybrid use. It supports DisplayHDR 400 True Black, covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and includes true 10-bit color, so it has some real value for photo and video editing in addition to gaming. Connectivity is solid too, with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 15W Power Delivery.

If you’re looking for a monitor that’s slightly bigger, the 39-inch LG Ultragear curved gaming monitor is still on sale for under $900. Meanwhile, you can also grab a stunning 52-inch MSI curved gaming monitor for around $750 at Amazon.

What you are getting here is a full 30-pack Play Booster Box, with each booster containing 14 Magic: The Gathering cards. Each pack includes one to five rares or higher, three to six uncommons, five to eight commons, and one land, with one card of any rarity guaranteed to be a Traditional Foil. What’s more, every pack includes a Mystical Archive instant or sorcery card with special art and a showcase frame, which gives this box a little more pull than the usual rare-chasing angle.

The set itself returns players to Strixhaven and its five colleges, leaning hard into the mage-school theme while mixing in the kind of collectible extras that make sealed boxes tempting even if you are not planning to draft right away.

Among other great Magic The Gathering deals going on right now, the Magic: The Gathering Marvel's Spider-Man Gift Bundle is still around $60 at both Amazon and Walmart, while supplies last. Walmart is also still selling Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Play Booster Boxes for only $174.99 right now.

Jimmy Kimmel slams Fox News for hypocritical response to recent Trump appearance

Mashable - 4 hours 3 min ago

Donald Trump attended a dignified transfer to honor the fallen U.S. troops in Iran on Saturday, and there's been a fair bit of criticism for what he chose to wear during the event.

"We've now lost seven American lives in Trump's war on Iran, and paying respect to troops who sacrificed everything as a result of a decision you made is one of, if not the, most important things a president does," says Jimmy Kimmel in the clip above. "But God forbid he just do it normally and respectively. On Saturday Trump made history becoming the first president to attend a dignified transfer while wearing his own merch on his head. He wore a gold Donald Trump brand USA hat."

The fallout from that choice, as Kimmel goes on to point out, had a ripple effect, with Fox News coming under fire for using old footage of the president during coverage of the event — something the network later apologised for.

"I know that if any president did something that was deemed to be disrespectful — I'm sure if Obama or Biden or even a vice president, Kamala Harris, did that — if one of them ran afoul of military protocol, I'm sure Fox would look the other way on that too, right?" asks Kimmel.

Cue a montage of Fox News presenters slamming Obama for saluting while holding a cup of coffee and Biden for checking his watch during a dignified transfer.

I spend a lot of time trawling through the depths of the online world to find deals that are genuinely worth your time and money. That's the aim of the game for Mashable's team of shopping experts. We're constantly scanning leading retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy to bring you new opportunities to save your precious cash. But we're not satisfied with the current state of affairs. We don't want you to miss a thing, and that's why we landed on the Mashable Deals text group.

Pokémon Pokopia is the cozy escape the internet needed

Mashable - 4 hours 57 min ago

At a moment when the internet feels like a constant stream of bad news alerts, many people online have found a surprisingly gentle escape: Pokémon Pokopia.

Even if you're not a gamer, it's hard to miss. I don't own a Nintendo Switch — let alone the new $500 Switch 2 — and yet cute clips from Pokopia keep appearing on my feeds anyway. Thanks to my algorithm, I'm vicariously living through them. Honestly, I want a cozy Pokémon island of my own to maintain, a little Eevee to befriend. Across platforms like TikTok, Reddit, and X, players are sharing snapshots and videos of the game's miniature towns, peaceful gameplay, and unexpectedly tender character stories.

SEE ALSO: Hands-on: The irresistible cuteness of 'Pokémon Pokopia', my favorite Pokémon game in years

In Pokopia, the stakes are low, the world is soft and colorful, and even its Pokémon seem more interested in helping their neighbors than battling anyone.

Credit: Nintendo

In other words, Pokopia is exactly the kind of game the internet seems to need right now. On social media, some users say they even bought a Nintendo Switch 2 just to play the $70 game exclusive to the device. (According to reports, it's more than worth it.)

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

Pokopia trades the traditional Pokémon formula of gyms, battles, and elite trainers for something far slower and softer. Set in a tiny town where Pokémon live together in a close-knit community, the game puts players in the role of a shapeshifting, human-like Ditto. Instead of traveling the world to catch them all, your job is much simpler: help neighbors around town, complete small tasks, and slowly build relationships with the Pokémon who live there. You can even ask the Pokémon to live with you, which is how you end up with this roommate situation:

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

The pace is intentionally relaxed, drawing easy comparisons to Animal Crossing. There's less pressure to compete and more encouragement to simply exist in the world: talking to neighbors, exploring cozy corners of the town, and watching the daily routines of its Pokémon residents. It's less about becoming a champion and more about becoming part of a community.

Credit: Nintendo

Much of Pokopia's viral attention has centered on its characters, particularly a small, pale Pikachu whom players online have quickly embraced as the game's emotional mascot. I barely know her, and I would die for her.

Credit: Nintendo

According to her Pokédex entry, Peakychu once shared much of her electricity with her friends to help them recover from an illness. The effort permanently altered her body, leaving her unable to generate electricity on her own. She can still manipulate electricity if another source charges her, but the story has resonated widely with players as a surprisingly tender moment in the game's world. And it's a perfect example of the game's emphasis on community.

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

Pokopia's rise also reflects a broader pattern in internet culture: when the world feels overwhelming, people gravitate toward softer, more comforting media.

The "cozy game" boom has been building for years. Games centered on farming, decorating, community building, and slow daily routines — from Animal Crossing: New Horizons to indie hits like Stardew Valley and Unpacking — have drawn millions of players looking for a gentler alternative to competitive shooters or high-stakes RPGs. On TikTok alone, the hashtag #cozygames has amassed hundreds of millions of views, with creators sharing everything from title recommendations and relaxing gameplay loops to aesthetic virtual town tours.

Pokopia taps directly into that mood. Its tiny world feels safe. Its conflicts are small. Most importantly, its characters care about each other.

And lately, that softness feels especially appealing. Scroll through social media for more than a few minutes, and it's easy to feel swallowed by the constant churn of headlines: political tension, economic anxiety, climate disasters, the rapid rise of AI, war. Pokopia offers the opposite emotional experience — a place where the biggest problem might be helping a neighbor fix something around town.

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

That sense of repair is baked into the game's premise, too.

Beneath its pastel towns and cozy routines, Pokopia carries a surprisingly reflective setup. The game takes place in a post-human world, where the ruins of an old civilization dot the landscape. Players slowly restore the environment by crafting, building, and farming their way through abandoned spaces with the ultimate goal of creating a new utopia for Pokémon. There's something quietly hopeful about the idea of building connection amid structural collapse.

Credit: Nintendo

For decades, Pokémon games have been about adventure — leaving home, battling rivals, and becoming the very best. Pokopia quietly flips that formula.

Here, the goal isn't to conquer the world. It’s simply to live in it together. And for many people scrolling through their feeds right now, that small, cozy vision of community might be exactly the kind of fantasy that feels most comforting.

Mashable - 5 hours 17 min ago

TL;DR: Unblock Pornhub for free with a VPN. The best service for unblocking porn sites from Australia is ExpressVPN.

The world of porn continues to be impacted by age-verification laws. Early in 2025, more than a third of U.S. states introduced age verification laws for online adult content. Pornhub responded by blocking users from those locations. A similar situation took place in France and the UK, and now Australians are facing the same set of challenges.

The porn blocks arrived just days before new online safety codes came into effect, requiring organisations to verify the ages of users. It's the same story, with the same workaround.

If you want to unblock porn sites like Pornhub for free from Australia, we have all the information you need.

Stephen Colbert unpacks looksmaxxing, asks if men are OK

Mashable - 6 hours 2 min ago

If you ever needed more evidence that the internet is a strange and disturbing place, Stephen Colbert's got you covered. In the clip above the Late Show host looks into the manosphere and the subsection of the "alpha male" online space concerned with enhancing looks no matter the cost.

"One men's trend, or 'tremend', that's raising some sculpted eyebrows out there is that men are now embracing aesthetic treatments, sometimes to the extreme in a trend called 'looksmaxxing', which is the maximisation of one's appearance," explains Colbert. "Looksmaxxing may include everything from moisturising to cosmetic surgery with tech bros getting face lifts and finance bros opting for filler with particular importance given to jawline, eyes and physique. It's what women know as getting ready to do anything ever, only to be told 'you look tired.'"

If you want to know more about looksmaxxing, Mashable's Chance Townsend has assembled a glossary of terms.
