It's official. Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back for its third year and will run March 25 through 31. The mega retailer promises major savings across all categories, with deals starting at 40% off across fashion, beauty, electronics, and more. And while they didn't come right out and say it, if there's one thing we can all but guarantee, it's that the sale will feature plenty of discounts on top Apple products.
Apple has had a busy month, with the launch of its first-ever budget MacBook, upgraded MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros, a new iPad Air, the iPhone 17e, and even AirPods Max 2. This means we could not only see first-time discounts on the new slate of products, but also new record-low prices on the previous generations during the Big Spring Sale. We'll be tracking prices leading up to and throughout the official event, so keep an eye on this page for the latest and greatest deals.
For now, if you're antsy to start shopping, we've rounded up the best Apple deals you can shop ahead of the sale.
Best Amazon Big Spring Sale AirPods deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple AirPods Pro 3 $209.99 at AmazonWe've always been fans of the AirPods Pro, but the third generation really takes them to new heights. Mashable's reviewer called them, "without a doubt, one of the best products of the year" in 2025. The latest premium buds feature outstanding noise cancellation (twice as good as the Pro 2s), a solid eight hours of battery life with ANC on, and new foam-infused tips that come in five sizes to find the perfect fit. Apple also brought the heart rate monitoring tech from the Powerbeats Pro 2 (our favorite earbuds for working out) and Fitness app compatibility to the Pro 3s, and introduced a live translation feature. While we've seen the buds drop as low as $184 in the past, this $39 discount is still worth grabbing.

Just launched earlier this month, the 13-inch M4 iPad Air is already on sale for $52 off ($2 more than its launch price discount). The base configuration with WiFi connectivity and 128GB of storage is now just $747 (normally $799). Mashable's tech editor took the M4 iPad Air for a spin and found it pretty impressive — too impressive for the average user, even. "It delivers iterative updates that improve an already stellar tablet," he writes in his review.

Apple released its new MacBook Air with the M5 chip this month, but honestly, they're not a whole lot different than the M4 Airs. The main differences are the upgraded processor and a new wireless chip. You can save some money by grabbing the M4 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage, which is currently down to just $999 at Amazon. We're keeping our eyes on this laptop, as we expect to see it drop further as the sale nears. But make note that since it is now an older model, it could sell out fast.

The Apple Watch Series 11 offers significant battery improvements over its predecessor. For that reason alone, it's worth the upgrade. It also features a tougher build with durable glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, 5G capability for quicker connectivity, and a Sleep Score and hypertension tool that can flag chronic high blood pressure. It's not a major upgrade (is anything in 2026?), but as Mashable's reviewer put it: "Buy it for the battery life." Now $100 cheaper, it's an even better value.

Last year, Apple caused a stir on the internet by introducing Liquid Glass to iOS 26. According to a new report, nothing is going to change on that front in 2026.
In his Power On newsletter for Bloomberg, prominent Apple reporter Mark Gurman said that Apple will not be dropping Liquid Glass with iOS 27, set to release later this year. According to Gurman, "the latest internal versions of iOS 27 and macOS 27 don’t reflect major design changes," so you shouldn't expect anything on that front in the coming months.
SEE ALSO: Apple launches AirPods Max 2 with improved noise cancelling and smart featuresApple isn't just doing this out of stubbornness or lack of regard for customer concerns, of course. Gurman said that going away from Liquid Glass isn't feasible right now considering how long it took to put together.
"The interface was the result of a multiyear effort that started with visionOS, which itself had been in development for several years before shipping in 2024," Gurman reported. "Because of the timelines involved, any major reversal away from Liquid Glass would likely take years to materialize."
While there are certainly plenty of Apple device owners out there who are either happy with Liquid Glass or are neutral about it, lots of folks were very vocal online about troubles with readability and icons looking indistinct from one another when the update launched last September. The company quickly provided a way to "tint" Liquid Glass, which helps a bit. Gurman also reported in his newsletter that Apple might add a Liquid Glass slider to control the intensity of the effect in iOS 27, which might help even more.
But it sounds like Liquid Glass is here to stay, in one form or another. Instead of another UI overhaul, you can look forward to Siri getting a bunch of AI enhancements in iOS 27.
It’s that time of year again! Amazon's Big Spring Sale is officially back, running from March 25 through March 31. And you just know the retail giant is going to discount a ton of robot vacuums for all of you spring cleaners out there. In fact, they've already started dropping prices on some of our favorite models ahead of the event.
Note: You don't need to be a Prime member to shop the sale, but Prime members will receive exclusive deals on a variety of items.
Our pick: Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete $1,499.99 at AmazonRead Mashable's review of the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete.
I’m starting this roundup with the best of the best because, why not? If you have the cash to burn and you’re looking for an investment piece, Mashable’s vacuum expert and senior shopping reporter Leah Stodart says the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is a “well-rounded premium robot vacuum,” especially for pet owners. It has a livestream pet camera and can clean edges and corners with precision. (Stodart says this vacuum is so good at cleaning corners that it’s dethroned the Roborock Saros 10R for corner mopping.)
“Measuring just over three inches tall, it's also easily the best slim robot vacuum out there — ideal for homes with low-clearance furniture, or expectations for cleaning under cabinets,” she says.
As of March 15, you can get the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete for $1,499.99, down from $1,699.99, at Amazon. That's a 12% discount or $200 savings.
SEE ALSO: Roborock Saros Z70 review: If you think you need the robot vacuum with an arm, no you don't Best budget pick: Roborock Q10 S5+ $299.99 at AmazonOur actual favorite budget pick, the 3i G10+, isn’t on sale (yet!). But the Roborock Q10 S5+ offers a pretty good alternative for anyone who needs a combo vacuum but can’t stomach paying $400+ for one. Stodart ranks this vac as the “Quietest Robot Vacuum” in her roundup of the best robot vacuums for 2026, but she also notes that it’s a surprisingly affordable hybrid cleaner.
“It has reliably completed all missions in my apartment for weeks, and isn't nearly as obnoxious when self-emptying as most other robot vacuums I've tested — it barely reaches 70 decibels, which isn't much louder than competitors while they're just cleaning,” she writes.
What’s even better is that it’s currently at a new record-low price of $299.99, down from $549.99. We’re not sure if this price will hold, but it’s a promising sign for what’s to come as we get closer to the official sale date.

It's been a long time coming, but Apple finally upgraded its flagship headphones.
On Monday, Apple announced the AirPods Max 2, a new version of its over-the-ear headphones that originally launched in 2020 (with a minor update in 2024 that only brought the USB-C port).
The new AirPods Max 2 look the same, but they have Apple's H2 chip inside, powering a bunch of new features including Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, and Live Translation.
The sound was also improved thanks to a new high dynamic range amplifier, Apple says. Credit: ApplePerhaps the most notable new feature is improved Active Noise Cancellation, which should be 1.5x more effective than before. Transparency Mode has also improved, allowing you to hear what's happening around you while still listening to music.
The new H2 chip, which we already know from Apple's AirPods Pro 3, also unlocked a number other smart features such as Siri head gestures, Camera Remote, and Loud Sound Reduction.
SEE ALSO: Apple MacBook Neo is not only cheaper than other Macs, it's also easier to repairApple's AirPods Max 2 start at $549, and are available in Blue, Midnight, Orange, Purple, and Starlight colors. They will be available for pre-order on March 25, with availability starting in April.
TL;DR: Krispy Kreme is giving away free Green O'riginal Glazed doughnuts on March 16-17. No purchase is necessary to qualify. Simply wear green in-store or via the drive-thru to score one free doughnut per customer.
The number of free food giveaways at the moment is off the chart. You're not going to be able to completely ditch the grocery order, but you can eat your way around Dairy Queen, Ben & Jerry's, and 7-Eleven over the next few weeks and not spent a cent.
Krispy Kreme is the latest retailer to drop a free giveaway, but there's a catch. No, you don't need to spend anything to qualify. You just need to wear green.

In a pretty overt promo for The Devil Wears Prada 2 mid-Oscars on Sunday, Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour paired up to present Best Costume (Frankenstein's Kate Hawley took home the gold).
With the Vogue icon essentially subbing in for Meryl Streep in this moment, the duo arrived on stage to Madonna's "Vogue" and performed a Miranda Priestly-worthy bit.
"The character's costume is key to telling a story," Hathaway said. "One could argue that one's wardrobe in real life is also key. Does it make one appear elegant and attractive on, say, the most important night in Hollywood, and say, the most important people in fashion will be judging how one looks...Anna, I'm just curious, what do you think of my dress tonight?"

The Hamnet star took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her devastating, sublime, and raw performance as Agnes in Chloé Zhao's film — and that's following wins at the Golden Globes, BAFTAs, Actor Awards, and more.
Buckley took to the stage during the 98th Academy Awards ceremony on Sunday, giving a moving and heartfelt speech.
"Thank you to the incredible women that I stand beside," Buckley said to her fellow nominees Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I'd Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia). "I am inspired by your art and your heart, and I want to work with every single one of you."

It's Mother's Day in the UK today, so I would like to dedicate this to the beautiful chaos of a mother's heart. We all come from a lineage of women who continue to create against all odds."
To finish, Buckley, who grew up in Killarney, spoke in Irish, saying, "Go raibh maith agaibh, slán," which translates to "Thank you all, goodbye."

Thanks for signing up!As for the Pixel 10a, it's a smartphone we think is "still the best budget Android phone on the market" according to our review. Mashable's Alex Perry continued to say, "Though it's not a particularly exciting smartphone, it does have a very attractive price and one notable design change: The camera array is now completely flat, so there's no wobble when it lays flat."
Perry also adds that, "The Pixel 10a may not be a conversation starter, but not every phone needs to be one, and it's a good smartphone nonetheless." So if you don't mind having a phone that's a little less flashy than it's more expensive counterparts, this is a great opportunity to grab it for free from T-Mobile.
Fabula Rasa: Dead Man Talking, in an interactive VR game that made its global debut at the XR Exhibition at SXSW 2026 this weekend. At the exhibition, I got the chance to try a bunch of virtual and augmented reality experiences — art installations, VR experiences, and satirical projects that defied definition. But after playing Fabula Rasa, I can’t stop thinking about what it means for the future of gaming.
The gameplay of Fabula Rasa is built around fully improvised, AI-generated conversations. You create your own character on the spot, and the game characters and your interactions are all powered by LLMs.
This is what the game forces us to ask: What if there were no more NPCs in video games? What if every character in an RPG had a fully-realized backstory and infinite conversational trees?
Imagine it: you’re playing a game like Red Dead Redemption or Skyrim, except every character you meet — the random henchmen, tavern wenches, pickpockets — can have in-depth conversations with you in real-time.
You’re no longer choosing from three or four pre-written dialogue options and having circular, process-of-elimination conversations. You’re talking into your headset and making up wholly original stories and side quests as you go. It would bring true role-playing to RPGs.
It’s a reality that’s closer than I realized.
What is Fabula Rasa: Dead Man Talking? 'Fabula Rasa' is a medieval fantasy game driven by AI characters. Credit: ArvoreFabula Rasa is an experiment. The game was made by the award-winning Brazilian XR studio Arvore. I played the game on a Meta Quest VR headset, but it’s not commercially available yet.
The game has a simple premise: You play a prisoner condemned to death in a medieval kingdom. The entire game takes place in a cage, suspended over a monster pit, as you await the king’s arrival and your eventual execution. You talk to a variety of characters, and depending on your interactions with them, you’ll either be spared or killed. (I went home with a pin that says “I survived the monster pit,” which is apparently the less likely outcome, the game's directors told me.)
Fabula Rasa is an improv experience. The game can be as fun as you are. When I realized a knight in a suit of armor was secretly three cats stacked on top of each other, I told him/them that one of my best friends was actually three dogs in a trenchcoat, which prompted him to argue for a stay of execution on my behalf. It’s silly, cheesy fun.
“In essence, we created sort of an improv theater experience, right?” Arvore’s founder and CEO Ricardo Justus told me. “We did workshops with improv comedians at our studio to learn more about this, and it started working once we started implementing a lot of these improv techniques. So, characters riffing off you. You riffing off the characters. And if you are into it, like into the story, it's really funny and fun.”
Justus told me Fabula Rasa was meant to be replayable, with the ending and characters changing depending on your actions.
A game where choices matter Credit: ArvoreThe game definitely felt like a proof of concept more than a fully realized game, but it’s the concept that’s really interesting.
Games will, of course, still need writers and storylines, but Fabula Rasa shows how AI can open up even more immersion in the game's world.
If that idea could be applied to AAA games, it could rewrite the rules of gaming as we know it.
Justus told me that Arvore uses a patchwork of models to power Fabula Rasa, particularly Claude for dialogue and ElevenLabs for audio. While not perfect, the conversations were surprisingly rich, and you could engage in back-and-forth worldplay.
I decided to play as a humble shoemaker wrongly imprisoned for murder. Twenty minutes later, pleading for my life, I realized the king in the game is literally a very short king. So, I offered to design a pair of high heels that would make him so tall that people would no longer call him “Your highness” ironically. LLMs make this kind of spur-of-the-moment banter possible. And don't forget: this technology is still in its infancy and rapidly improving.
Credit: Arvore AI in gaming isn't going awayNow, to be sure, many gamers hate any hint of AI in gaming. However, Justus told me that Arvore didn’t use AI to replace human developers, writers, or artists. (The game does use AI voice models instead of actors, due to the improvisational nature of the dialogue.) Rather, AI powers the game mechanics and the story itself.
"All the art in the game is handcrafted. Like, we didn't want to use it as a way to shorten production time, right? What we challenged ourselves was, can we use AI as a storytelling medium? And how would that work? And I do think eventually it's gonna be very interesting to apply that to an RPG, like, for example, a big open world game. Almost, like Westworld, you can talk to the characters. We're not there yet, I don't think."
Still, Justus acknowledged that AI in gaming can be controversial.
Any time a studio is caught using AI in game development, they face a strong backlash from a very vocal group of gamers. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was stripped of its Indie Game Awards for using AI background textures. Yet it’s still the most award-winning title of all time. Arc Raiders was the subject of a boycott over AI, and went on to become a global best-seller.
“I think there's a big vocal [group] of people that are very incensed by this, and maybe [more] so than the people who are actually buying games and don't care necessarily. If it's a good game, the process to create it doesn't matter as much from a consumer standpoint. Are there ethical issues of people losing their jobs and stuff like that? Of course there are, right? It’s challenging. But I feel like there isn’t a way back from using AI for development.
"Again, for this, we handcrafted all the art. We wanted to use AI to tell the story, right?"
SEE ALSO: ARC Raiders opts to replace AI-generated dialogue with professional voice actors AI-powered immersion still has limitationsUnfortunately, it may be awhile before you can play Fabula Rasa.
Arvore’s CEO told me they’re working toward a commercial release, but several hurdles need to be cleared first. Every time the game improvises a scene, it uses costly tokens with the LLM models. Second, the game is powered by frontier models that can’t be run on-device, which means some latency in conversations.
So, there’s a cost problem and a latency problem.
Still, surely these are solvable problems.
You can find Fabula Rasa at the SXSW XR Exhibition for a little while longer, and you can look for it at future conferences and gaming events.
I played the game for about 30 minutes, but I’ve been thinking about its implications for a lot longer.
You can learn more about Fabula Rasa: Dead Man Talking at the Arvore website.
