Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is officially underway, and we’re already seeing some pretty promising price drops across multiple categories, including $300 price cuts on MacBooks and $400 off Apple Watches.

Of course, we’re holding out to see if Amazon’s going to gift us with additional Apple deals (we're looking at you, MacBook Neo), but there’s one in particular that requires fast action: Apple AirTag 4-packs are now down to a new record-low price of $59.99, and they're selling fast. We're seeing this deal go in and out of stock, so please shop accordingly!

Don't forget: Apple recently released a new generation of Apple AirTags, so we don't know how much longer these trackers will be available, especially at this price.

The updated Apple AirTag 2 is still at full price, but you can get a four-pack of first-gen AirTags for just $59.99 right now, or $15 per tracker.

These little trackers are total lifesavers for anyone who's always misplacing their keys or wants some peace of mind by stashing one in their checked luggage. (I use them to keep tabs on my dogs when I'm visiting my parents.) You can track your stuff directly in the Find My app, and if you’re nearby, your iPhone can lead you straight to the exact cushion your wallet is hiding under.

Note: If these trackers go out of stock at Amazon, you can also find them at this price at Best Buy and Walmart.

It's official: Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back and going strong until March 31. As always with these big sale events, we've been on the case since kickoff to find the very best deals across all kinds of products. And we've spotted some absolutely stellar deals on Apple AirPods — deals that sound as good as Apple audio tech.

The AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 (both with and without ANC), and first-gen AirPods Max are already on sale at Amazon. Day two of the sale also delivered a surprise: The just-released AirPods Max 2 just got their first discount, if only a teensy one.

If you're not looking to drop a ton of cash on new earbuds, one of our favorite deals is on the AirPods 4 without Active Noise Cancellation. These AirPods have dropped to just $99 at Amazon, saving you $30 on list price. We think these are the best budget earbuds for Apple users.

If you had your eye on the AirPods 4 with ANC, the good news is those are also on sale right now. They are currently marked down to just $148.99 at Amazon, or about $30 off their original list price of $179. So no matter which option you choose, you can save some cash right now.

The AirPods Pro 3 are some of our favorite earbuds for Apple users, earning spots on both our lists of the best headphones and best earbuds. Our review had high praise for them, with writer Adam Doud calling them, "a remarkable upgrade in functionality over their predecessors, with better battery life and ANC, as well as a new heart rate sensor."

Boasting great sound quality and noise-cancelling features, alongside a hefty battery life that can last up to eight hours (with ANC) on a single charge, these AirPods are a nice upgrade indeed. Ahead of Amazon's Big Spring Sale, they're marked down to $199.

Premium noise-canceling headphones from brands like Sony and Bose are a much better value, but AirPods Max are a popular pick nonetheless. (If nothing else, they're super stylish.) Apple announced the AirPods Max 2 with better ANC and smart features earlier this month, and now the first-gen models with USB-C charging are on sale on Amazon for $449.99. That's about $100 off their regular retail price of $549.

A $100 discount on the 42mm GPS Apple Watch Series 11 drops it to a record-low price, making it the perfect time to grab what our Tech Editor, Timothy Beck Werth, calls the "Best Apple Upgrade." Mashable's Stan Schroeder agrees, noting the battery life alone is worth the jump. "Even if you already have a Series 10, which has nearly all the same features, the new Apple Watch Series 11 doesn’t require you to charge it mid-day in order to keep it going through the night," he writes.

We named it the "Best for Most People" in our smartwatch guide because it packs the exact same S10 chip as the Ultra 3 and the same water resistance as the Series 11 — "all for $150 less than the Series 11."

Now that the Big Spring Sale is in full swing, the 40mm model is down to $219, saving you $30. It’s also not the only configuration on sale right now. We've rounded up a few other discounted SE 3 models below so you can pick your preferred setup and still save some cash.

I test laptops for a living. These are my favorite MacBook deals from Amazons Big Spring Sale.

A quick look at the best MacBook deals from Amazon's Big Spring Sale: Best MacBook Air deal Apple MacBook Air, 13-inch (M4, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $949 (save $250) Get Deal Best MacBook Neo deal (that's barely a deal) Apple MacBook Neo (A18 Pro, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $689.99 (save $9.01) Get Deal Best MacBook Pro deal Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) $1,580 (save $119) Get Deal

Amazon's third annual Big Spring Sale runs through March 31. The event mainly revolves around seasonal essentials like cleaning supplies and outdoor gear, but it also prompts some good deals on must-have tech — including flagship Apple products like MacBooks. As Mashable's resident laptop expert, I'm on the case.

Apple actually just refreshed its MacBook lineup earlier this month, announcing updated MacBook Airs and Pros in addition to an all-new budget MacBook Neo. Most configurations of these new releases are seeing their very first (tiny) discounts during the Big Spring Sale, while their predecessors are priced to move at up to $300 off.

SEE ALSO: Amazon's Big Spring Sale is surprisingly good: We found 111+ deals on Apple, DJI, Sony, and Dyson

Keep in mind that Apple has discontinued its last-gen MacBooks, which means they'll only be available on the refurbished market once third-party retailers' inventories dry up. So, if you see a good deal on an M4 MacBook Air or Pro on Amazon this week, don't wait too long to add it to your cart. I think they'll sell out there long before this summer's Prime Day sale.

I'll continue to monitor Amazon's Big Spring Sale MacBook deals as the sale continues into next week, so check back if nothing catches your eye just yet. At least one model has gotten cheaper since the sale started on March 25, FYI. (That would be the base M5 MacBook Pro, which was $1,649 on Wednesday and $1,580 at the time of writing.) Note: Deals marked with a 🔥 have dropped to a record-low price.

The M4 MacBook Air may be a last-gen laptop, but it's still an incredibly capable ultraportable. (In our testing, it proved much faster than much pricier Windows laptops.) It has the same 12MP Center Stage webcam, Liquid Retina display, and 18-hour battery life as its new M5 counterpart, which just offers slightly faster performance and newer wireless connectivity. This 13-inch configuration has 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage just like the M5 base model, which is going for $100 more.

Nine bucks off barely counts as a discount, but this is the best MacBook Neo deal I've seen outside of the Apple Store itself. (You can get $100 off there, but only if you're a college student, a parent of one, or school faculty.) This colorful little laptop has the same premium aluminum build as any other MacBook, and it boasts incredibly impressive single-core performance; in basic everyday tasks like web browsing, it's just as fast as an M4 MacBook Air. This particular model comes with Touch ID.

A MacBook Pro has more ports and a brighter, smoother display than a MacBook Air. It's also better at handling heavier workloads (like video editing) over a long period of time since it has fans. I recommend it as an upgrade pick for power users like content creators and developers. This is the new base configuration of the M5 MacBook Pro; Apple just bumped it up from 512GB of storage. It's been cheaper on Amazon recently — $1,499 is its all-time low — but it's not currently cheaper anywhere else. Best Buy is selling it for full price.

Got spring cleaning on your mind? So does Amazon: The retail giant is putting last-gen tech on sale at deep discounts during the Big Spring Sale (March 25 to 31), its main seasonal savings event, to clear out its remaining inventory.

Older versions of some of our favorite gadgets are currently on sale there for record-low prices (or close to them). The zippy M4 MacBook Air? Up to $150 cheaper than the iterative M5 version Apple announced this month. The superb Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds? Only $248. Previous-generation Echo devices? Grab the 2022 Echo Dot smart speaker or Echo Show 5 smart display for 20% off. Finally, the first-gen AirTags have literally never been cheaper, and this could be your last chance to grab them now that the AirTag 2 has been released.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back for its third year, running now through March 31. The retailer is officially rolling out wide-ranging discounts across multiple categories, with prices dropping on items such as robot vacuums, TVs, and even daily essentials. And if there's one thing we can always guarantee, it's that this sale features plenty of solid, much-welcome Apple deals.

Apple has kept us very busy in 2026, and we've been hard at work testing the first-ever budget MacBook, upgraded MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros, a new iPad Air, and the iPhone 17e. Next on our Apple to-do list: the upcoming AirPods Max 2.

With so many new Apple products, we're seeing a bunch of first-time discounts during the Amazon spring sale, as well as new record-low prices on last-gen models like the Apple Watch SE 2. What more could you want from a major sale event?

We'll be tracking prices on AirPods, MacBooks, and iPads from now until March 31, so keep an eye on this page to make sure you're getting the lowest-possible price on Apple products.

We've always been fans of the AirPods Pro, but the third generation really takes them to new heights. Mashable's reviewer called them, "without a doubt, one of the best products of the year" in 2025.

The latest premium buds feature outstanding noise cancellation (twice as good as the Pro 2), a solid eight hours of battery life with ANC on, and new foam-infused tips that come in five sizes to find the perfect fit. Apple also brought the heart rate monitoring tech from the Powerbeats Pro 2 (our favorite earbuds for working out) and Fitness app compatibility to the new AirPods Pro 3, and introduced a live translation feature.

While we've seen the buds drop as low as $184 in the past, this Amazon spring sale discount is still worth grabbing.

This four-pack of Apple's Bluetooth trackers keeps going in and out of stock on Amazon, which is hardly surprising: It's never been cheaper there. Mashable's tech editor took the M4 iPad Air for a spin and found it pretty impressive — too impressive for the average user, even. "It delivers iterative updates that improve an already stellar tablet," he writes in his review.

Apple released its new MacBook Air with the M5 chip this month, but honestly, they're not a whole lot different than the M4 Airs. The main differences are the upgraded processor and a new wireless chip. You can save some money by grabbing the M4 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage, which is currently down to just $949 at Amazon. We're keeping our eyes on this laptop, as we expect to see it drop further as the sale nears. But make note that since it is now an older model, it could sell out fast.

The Apple Watch Series 11 offers significant battery improvements over its predecessor. For that reason alone, it's worth the upgrade. It also features a tougher build with durable glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, 5G capability for quicker connectivity, and a Sleep Score and hypertension tool that can flag chronic high blood pressure. It's not a major upgrade (is anything in 2026?), but as Mashable's reviewer put it: "Buy it for the battery life." Now $100 cheaper, it's an even better value.

Mashable's robot vacuum expert, Leah Stodart, tested and loved the Eufy C28 when it came out last month. At $499.99 for the Big Spring Sale, the Eufy C28 is not only the most affordable roller mop robot vacuum you'll find this season, but the best budget robot vacuum and mop combo period.

If you tried a cheap mopping robot vacuum in the past that smeared more than scrubbed, let the Eufy's self-rinsing roller mop change your mind. Its fluffy bath towel material is already more absorbent than the typical thin mopping pad — but just to ensure liquid spills aren't being smeared around, the C28's roller gets rinsed with clean water as it's mopping. If you opt for last year's version instead, it'll only cost you $897.96. Not only is that over 50% off, but it's about $100 cheaper than it was just last month for President's Day.

Hurdle hints and answers for March 27, 2026

Mashable - Fri, 03/27/2026 - 00:00

If you like playing daily word games like Wordle, then Hurdle is a great game to add to your routine.

There are five rounds to the game. The first round sees you trying to guess the word, with correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters shown in each guess. If you guess the correct answer, it'll take you to the next hurdle, providing the answer to the last hurdle as your first guess. This can give you several clues or none, depending on the words. For the final hurdle, every correct answer from previous hurdles is shown, with correct and misplaced letters clearly shown.

An important note is that the number of times a letter is highlighted from previous guesses does necessarily indicate the number of times that letter appears in the final hurdle.

If you find yourself stuck at any step of today's Hurdle, don't worry! We have you covered.

Moon phase today: What the Moon will look like on March 27

Mashable - Fri, 03/27/2026 - 00:00

Can you see anything on the Moon's surface tonight? It's more than half illuminated, so if it's a clear sky, your chances are pretty good. Keep reading to find out exactly what you can see tonight.

What is today’s Moon phase?

As of Friday, March 27, the Moon phase is Waxing Gibbous. According to NASA's Daily Moon Guide, 67% of the Moon will be lit up tonight.

Tonight, without visual aids, you can spot the Fecunditatis, Crisum, and Vaporum Mares. With binoculars, you'll also be able to catch a glimpse of the Posidonius Crater, Alps Mountains, and the Appennine Mountains.

If you're lucky enough to have a telescope stowed away, take it out to be able to see even more, including the Rima Ariadaeus, Descartes Highlands, and the Caucasus Mountains.

When is the next Full Moon?

In North America, the next Full Moon is predicted to take place on April 1.

What are Moon phases?

According to NASA, the Moon completes one orbit around Earth in roughly 29.5 days, cycling through eight distinct phases. While the same side of the Moon always faces us, sunlight illuminates varying portions as it travels, making it appear full, half, or a narrow crescent. These shifting appearances are known as the lunar phases, and there are eight in total:

New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).

Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).

First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.

Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.

Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.

Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)

Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.

Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.

SEE ALSO: Mahjong, Sudoku, free crossword, and more: Play games on Mashable What is Connections?

The NYT's latest daily word game has become a social media hit. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu with helping to create the new word game and bringing it to the publications' Games section. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

Each puzzle features 16 words and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise of anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake—players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.

This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.

NYT Strands hints, answers for March 27, 2026

Mashable - Thu, 03/26/2026 - 22:00

Today's NYT Strands hints are easy if you're a perfectionist.

Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

By providing an opaque hint and not providing the word list, Strands creates a brain-teasing game that takes a little longer to play than its other games, like Wordle and Connections.

Originally created by engineer Josh Wardle as a gift for his partner, Wordle rapidly spread to become an international phenomenon, with thousands of people around the globe playing every day. Alternate Wordle versions created by fans also sprang up, including battle royale Squabble, music identification game Heardle, and variations like Dordle and Quordle that make you guess multiple words at once

Wordle eventually became so popular that it was purchased by the New York Times, and TikTok creators even livestream themselves playing.

What's the best Wordle starting word?

The best Wordle starting word is the one that speaks to you. But if you prefer to be strategic in your approach, we have a few ideas to help you pick a word that might help you find the solution faster. One tip is to select a word that includes at least two different vowels, plus some common consonants like S, T, R, or N.

What happened to the Wordle archive?

The entire archive of past Wordle puzzles was originally available for anyone to enjoy whenever they felt like it, but it was later taken down, with the website's creator stating it was done at the request of the New York Times. However, the New York Times then rolled out its own Wordle Archive, available only to NYT Games subscribers.

It might feel like Wordle is getting harder, but it actually isn't any more difficult than when it first began. You can turn on Wordle's Hard Mode if you're after more of a challenge, though.

Netflix prices going up yet again

Mashable - Thu, 03/26/2026 - 17:33

No, you aren't experiencing déjà vu. And no, you aren't accidentally reading a post from January 2025, which is the last time Netflix raised its prices.

Netflix is once again hiking the prices for its monthly streaming subscription service.

On Thursday, March 25, 2026, Netflix updated the "Plans and Pricing" page on its website and increased the subscription cost by $1 to $2 per month, depending on the plan. The price for a standard subscription is jumping from $17.99 per month to $19.99 per month. The standard subscription with ads is going from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. The Premium subscription, which includes 4K and extra simultaneous devices, has been raised from $24.99 to $26.99 per month.

The new prices go into effect immediately for new users. Netflix will update current subscribers about the price hike depending on their subscription's renewal date.

SEE ALSO: The 30 best comedies streaming on Netflix right now

The price to add extra users outside of your household is also going up by $1 too. An extra user will now cost $7.99 on a plan with ads or $9.99 on a subscription tier without ads.

Netflix had more than 325 million subscribers at the end of 2025, so the streaming giant clearly isn't too concerned about losing customers over the price increase. This is the company's fifth price increase over the past six years.

While Netflix users aren't getting anything new with the increased pricing, the streamer has been increasingly moving into the live event broadcasting space over the past year. Netflix airs WWE Raw live every Monday night. Just last night, Netflix was the live broadcaster for the MLB opening game between the New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants. In addition, Netflix is continuing its live combat sport events with the upcoming Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano MMA fight in May.

It's possible that Netflix is now viewing itself as a service more in line with other live sports streamers like ESPN+ and looking to charge likewise. Plans for ESPN+, which broadcasts WWE's monthly Premium Live Events, for example, start at $29.99 per month.
