Amazon's October Prime Day is coming in hot, and it's already proving to be a good time to pick up home improvement gear at a discount. The sale officially runs Oct. 6–7, but Amazon never makes us wait for everything, so plenty of early deals are already live.
If you want to get ahead on fall yard cleanup, finally replace the drill that barely holds a charge, or add a few smart-home upgrades before the holiday season, there are already worthwhile discounts across tools, outdoor power equipment, robot lawn mowers, lights, air purifiers, and more.
These are the best live deals we have found so far, and we will keep updating this list as prices change and new offers appear.
Best tool deal Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Drill & Impact Driver Kit $149 at AmazonA good drill is one of those things you don't think about until you need it, and then suddenly it's the most useful thing in the house. This DeWalt combo kit gives you both a compact drill/driver for everyday jobs and an impact driver for the projects that need more muscle, like longer screws, tougher materials, or anything that has you fighting with a manual screwdriver.
It comes with two batteries, a charger, and a carrying bag, so you're not buying a tool only to realize you need to spend more before you can actually use it. Both tools also have built-in LED lights for darker corners, cabinets, and under-the-sink fixes.
At $149, down from $239, this kit saves you $90 and is a much better all-purpose pick for most homeowners than a single specialty tool.

Fall yard cleanup is enough work without dragging out an extension cord, mixing gas, or fighting with a pull start. The Greenworks 60V leaf blower is battery-powered, but it has enough power for the usual pile of wet leaves, driveway debris, and whatever else collects around the patio this time of year.
It has a variable-speed trigger, cruise control, and a Turbo mode that reaches up to 130 MPH when you need more power. The included 2.5Ah battery and rapid charger are a big part of why this deal is worth considering, especially if you're not already invested in a battery platform.
At $139.99, down from $249.99, it saves you $110. It's also compatible with more than 75 Greenworks 60V tools if you end up adding a mower, trimmer, or chainsaw later.

Prime members are in line to snag a robot lawn mower at a shockingly good price ahead of October Prime Big Deal Days. Down from the normal price of $799.99, the Roborock RockNeo Q110H robot lawn mower is on sale for $679.99. It's designed to keep a lawn of up to a quarter of an acre freshly mowed and manicured. It comes with auto-mapping and advanced obstacle avoidance, and it's capable of mowing on slopes up to 45 degrees.
Since this is the lowest price we've spotted at Amazon for the Roborock RockNeo Q110H, it might be worth jumping on the discount before the sale officially begins.

If you like to put Christmas lights on the house before Thanksgiving, October Prime Day deals are your best bet for scoring a great sale price. Already 15% off, the Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 can display 16 million colors. If that feels overwhelming, choose between 100 preset modes.
The Govee lights come with an IP67 rating, which means they're safe to leave up year-round and they don't mind the rain. Plus, ordering soon means they'll arrive with enough time to make a neighborhood-favorite Halloween display.

Grabbing an air purifier isn't a bad idea in 2026, considering the quality of the air outside lately. This smart purifier from Govee features three-stage filtration that removes particles like hair, lint, and dust, as well as smoke, VOCs, and harmful gases. Its built-in sensor will alert you to the quality of air in your home and automatically turn on when the levels drop. It's usually $129.99, but with the current discount and extra savings for Prime members, it's just $80.99. That's a total of 38% in savings, and its best price all year.

Amazon’s October Prime Day is getting closer, and there are worthwhile Pokémon across the Pokémon trading card game, Nintendo Switch games, Lego sets, and books. Some of the earliest Pokémon TCG discounts have already sold out, so this list only includes products that were available when we last checked.
SEE ALSO: Lego's Pokémon Eevee is close to its best-ever price at Amazon — save $12 before October Prime DayPrime Big Deal Days runs from Oct. 6-7, but there’s no need to wait for the main event to start saving. The best Pokémon Prime Day deals available now include a Pokémon 30th Celebration Japanese Display Box for $265, LEGO Pokémon Eevee for $47.95, Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch 2 for $50.99, and the Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide for $39.84. Pokémon TCG deals change quickly, so check current price and availability before buying.
A 30th Celebration Display Box at over $30 off Opens in a new window Credit: The Pokémon Company Pokémon Card Game MEGA Expansion Pack 30th Celebration Display Box (Japanese) $265 at AmazonIf you're the type of Pokémon collector who wants to appreciate the artwork as much as the cards themselves, this deal on the Japanese version of the 30th Celebration expansion’s display box is worth a look.
The 20-pack box is on sale for $265, down from $313, for a savings of $48, or about 15% off. That works out to $13.25 per pack.
English 30th Celebration booster packs are currently listed on TCGplayer for about $13.48 each, which would cost $269.60 for 20 packs. That means the Japanese display box is only about $4.60 cheaper on a per-pack comparison, but it's still a solid option for collectors who specifically want the sealed Japanese product and its distinct card treatment.
Best for: Collectors who want a sealed Japanese 30th Celebration display box rather than loose English packs.

Unlike static figures, the ears, head, limbs, and angled tail are fully adjustable, so you can change up how it sits on your shelf. This is now back to its all-time low price for listings directly from Amazon (confirmed by the price tracker camelcamelcamel), making it a good time to grab it now rather than waiting to see if it drops further during the main sale.
Best for: Adult LEGO builders, Pokémon collectors, and gifts under $50.
Note: Eevee is currently the only set in the Lego Pokémon lineup receiving a discount ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, but we've listed the most popular sets below so you can keep an eye on them if Amazon drops prices during the event.

Thanks to the global memory crisis known as "RAMageddon," prices on memory products like internal drives, external SSDs, and high-capacity flash storage have continued to climb. It’s been a relentless up, up, and up trajectory as enterprise demand squeezes consumer supply.
That makes finding genuine discounts during Prime Big Deal Days — Amazon's 48-hour fall savings event kicking off on Oct. 6 and 7 — all the more crucial.
High-speed NVMe drives, rugged external SSDs, microSD cards, and hard drives are Prime Day staples that matter more than ever amid RAMageddon. We did some digging and found the best early Prime Day deals in the solid-state category right now. If you've been waiting to expand your PC build, give your PS5 some breathing room, or secure your off-site backups, now is the time to take advantage of these SSD offers from top-tier brands like Samsung, SanDisk, and more.

That translates directly to faster boot times, near-instant game loading on PC or PS5, and smooth handling of large 4K video renders. It also runs more power-efficiently than its predecessor, so it stays stable under heavy continuous workloads. With a solid five-year warranty and a huge price drop, it’s one of the best value-for-money storage upgrades you can buy right now.
Best rugged SSD deal Opens in a new window Credit: SanDisk SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD $245.99 at AmazonPocket-sized, ridiculously fast, and virtually indestructible, the SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSD is engineered for harsh travel conditions that would destroy standard desktop drives. It nearly doubles the speed of previous generations, so you can back up thousands of photos in less than a minute, while offering full weather resistance to rain and spills, and hardware encryption to keep your private documents locked down tighter than a vault.
Best travel-friendly SSD deal Opens in a new window Credit: Samsung Samsung T7 2TB Portable SSD $379.99The Samsung T7 is built for life on the move. Its solid aluminum unibody design handles the bumps of travel with ease, featuring shock resistance that withstands drops from up to 6 feet. With transfer speeds up to 1,050 MB/s, you can offload massive 4K travel footage, photo backups, or offline media libraries in seconds. You can even plug it directly into an iPhone 15 Pro (or newer) to record high-res video straight to the drive while on location.

Do you feel that chill in the air? Fall is here, which means so is the holiday shopping season. To kick things off, Amazon is bringing back Prime Big Deal Days.
Running Oct. 6 and 7, the event is essentially Amazon's way of kicking off holiday shopping before Black Friday. We're gearing up for the event and hunting deals on all the top brands, including Apple.
We've been searching for Apple Watch deals, and after a pretty underwhelming start, things are finally looking up ahead of tomorrow's main event. Apple's brand-new flagship, the Apple Watch Series 12, just got its first real discount on Amazon, dropping to $349.99 (down from $399). Plus, if you're looking for a budget entry point, the Apple Watch SE 3 is also back on sale for $199 (down from $249).

SEE ALSO: Apple Watch Series 12 vs. 11: Every upgrade, including one Apple didn't mentionThe Series 12 builds on Apple's health tracking with more frequent heart rate variability (HRV) readings, a new Daily Readiness score, and deeper Apple Intelligence integration via Workout Buddy. (You'll still get all the essentials like sleep scores, blood oxygen readings, ECGs, and safety features like fall and crash detection.) If you want Apple's latest features without waiting to see what happens tomorrow, this is the top wearable deal on the board.
(Note: If you want to spend under $200, the Apple Watch SE 3 is also live for $199 on Amazon right now, saving you $50 off the list price.)

In case you haven't noticed, it's gotten expensive to simply exist. Between gas prices, groceries, and, of course, rent, finding any deal is a win in my book — which is exactly why we're tracking down the best Prime Day deals for under $25.
SEE ALSO: The best Prime Day deals under $50: Our favorite budget deals on earbuds, beauty tech, and moreOctober Prime Day, officially known as Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, kicks off on Oct. 6, but a lot of the best under-$25 steals we saw during June's Prime Day were already live before the sale's official start.
So if you're sticking to a budget, you might want to get these to your cart ASAP before they sell out. And be sure to check back, as we'll be updating and adding new $25-and-under finds as more discounts drop.
Best deal under $25 Opens in a new window Credit: Owala Owala FreeSip Twist $19.97 at AmazonWe love the Owala FreeSip at Mashable. Multiple staffers own the bottle that allows you to chug and sip out of one lid, all the while keeping your water cold all day long. The FreeSip Twist, in particular, is Owala's slimmer version of the classic FreeSip that catapulted it to internet fame. With a 24-ounce capacity, it still holds plenty of water, but can easily fit into car cup holders, backpack water bottle pockets, a seat back pocket, or simply slide into a tote bag with more ease.

In either case, this 358-piece Lego set is a great deal, serving as both a cool nightstand display and a conservatory vase that opens up into Wednesday's classroom. At $18.99, this is the lowest price this set has ever been.
More deals under $25 Opens in a new window Soundcore P20i earbuds $20.99 at AmazonGenuinely good MacBook deals have been harder to come by in the wake of Apple's summer price hikes. Thanks to Prime Big Deal Days, that's finally changing.
Amazon's 48-hour fall savings event for Prime members serves as its unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season. (It's often referred to as "October Prime Day.") While the sale doesn't technically start until Oct. 6, it's already ushering in sizable MacBooks price cuts — the likes of which we haven't seen in months. Of special note is a $200 discount on the M5 MacBook Air that completely erases its price increase; this week marks the first time shoppers have been able to buy it for as low as $1,099 since June.
Check out my running list of the best October Prime Day MacBook deals below. I'll continue to update it as the sale continues through Oct. 7 at midnight PT.
How I picked the best October Prime Day MacBook dealsThe Mashable team has reviewed every current MacBook and monitors their prices continuously throughout the year. The deals I'm personally recommending here involve the lowest prices on select models in at least three months, which I vetted using the Amazon price-tracking tool camelcamelcamel and our past coverage of MacBook deals. Things are already looking a bit better than usual: MacBook Pro deals maxed out at $400 off last Prime Big Deal Days, but right now, select models are up to $600 off.
SEE ALSO: Everything you need to know about October Prime Day, according to someone who covers it every yearIf you're willing to wait a little longer, I think some MacBook Pros could get even cheaper once Prime Big Deal Days officially starts. I've marked them as "MacBook deals to watch" for the time being. That's also the section where I've plopped the best live deals on the budget MacBook Neo, which is only $10 off on Amazon right now. (That's its biggest discount outside of the Apple Store's education pricing, but I'd like to see if Amazon gives us $25 to $50 off once the festivities begin. Hang tight, people!)
Finally, I'm keeping an eye on other retailers' MacBook deals this week to see if any of them manage to beat Amazon's prices. None of them have yet, though Best Buy was matching some of its offers at the time of writing. Check there if the configuration you want happens to sell out during Prime Big Deal Days.
Best MacBook Air deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple MacBook Air, 13-inch (M5, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $1,099The latest MacBook Air is a Mashable Choice Award winner and one of our top-reviewed products of the year. In his testing, Mashable tech editor Timothy Beck Werth found the M5 chip to be ridiculously powerful (probably more powerful than the average person really needs, TBH). It also has a fantastic display, a great-sounding speaker system, and a sharp Center Stage webcam.
The 13- and 15-inch sizes of the MacBook Air are both now $200 off on Amazon, starting at just $1,099 and $1,299, respectively. Best Buy was matching those deals the last time I checked.
More MacBook Air dealsApple MacBook Air, 13-inch (M5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $1,399 $1,599 (save $200)

Apple MacBook Air, 15-inch (M5, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — $1,799 $1,999 (save $200)
The M5 Pro chip is one of Apple's upgraded laptop CPUs. It's designed to handle the ultra-demanding workloads of "pro users — like data modelers, post-production sound designers, and STEM students — who require robust processing power and graphics," according to a company press release.
Right now, you can save $500 on a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip that has 18 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores, plus 24GB of RAM and a healthy 2TB of storage. This laptop typically retails for $3,199, but you'll pay $2,699 — a 16% savings. Best Buy is also price-matching Amazon here.
As mentioned up top, Amazon's October Prime Day MacBook Pro deals usually max out at $400ish. With that in mind, this is one deal that probably won't improve within the next two days. I also want to point out that it costs the same as a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the same amount of RAM and storage, but a lesser M5 Pro chip with 15 CPU cores and 16 GPU cores. If you're splurging on a new laptop for AI or creative work, this is more of a bargain.

Prime Big Deal Days is here once more, and Amazon's fall sale is open to Prime members on Oct. 6 and 7. Discounts cover everything from kitchen gadgets to smart home devices, which makes this the perfect time to cross a few names off your holiday list early.
Some prices already started to fall in the weeks leading up to the event, especially on Amazon's own devices. Fresh deals are popping up each day, and plenty of them come in under $50. Fall has just begun, but the holiday shopping season is already heating up. No longer do things kick off on Black Friday: Amazon's annual Prime Big Deal Days on Oct. 6 and 7 is the start of end-of-year deals.
Now that October Prime Day is nearly here, we're looking for the best early price drops across top brands, especially Apple. Early deals were pretty hit-or-miss with baseline models seeing modest $20 to $30 markdowns. But now that we're a day away, there are actually some deals worth shopping.
SEE ALSO: October Prime Day Apple deals guide: Buy now or wait? We've rounded up the best October Prime Day iPad deals we could find. While none of the iPads here have dropped to new all-time lows, we're happy to take any savings considering Apple raised prices on iPads earlier this year. But if you want to see where current iPad prices fall, we've compiled the price history on current models.
Save up to $50 on the regular iPadThe standard iPad with the A16 chip is our favorite Apple tablet for budget shoppers. "Even though its tech is basic compared to the advanced iPad Air and Pro," writes Mashable's Samantha Mangino, "it's great for someone who wants a portable screen for streaming, playing games, and reading." It's rated for up to six hours of battery life.
The base iPad with 128GB of storage is now $50 off with or without cellular connectivity. That brings it down to $399, its lowest price since Amazon increased it to $449 earlier this year.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad (A16, WiFi, 128GB) $399 at AmazonIf you wish e-readers were more powerful, more versatile, and equipped with way more storage, get Apple's smallest iPad instead. The iPad mini's compact size and anti-reflective display make it our favorite tablet for reading.
We hoped the iPad Mini would drop $70 during Prime Big Deal Days, but the deal is even sweeter. Right now, you can grab it $499, $100 off its $599 list price.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad Mini (A17 Pro, WiFi, 128GB) $499 at AppleIn his 4.5-star review, Mashable’s Timothy Beck Werth called the M4 iPad Air "a tablet that thinks it's an AI laptop," making it a great pick for students, artists, and creators. It has the same super-light aluminum body and bright Liquid Retina screen as last year's model.
Where it wins is speed: the new M4 processor and upgraded smart chip make AI tools like fast voice-note transcription and photo editing happen almost instantly. While Timothy pointed out that it only offers "iterative upgrades over last year's model" and can feel "overpowered for casual users", that is exactly why this price drop makes sense.
Paying full retail for an incremental spec bump can be a hard sell, but catching it on sale makes the extra speed, 256GB of storage, and creator-grade power completely worth the tag. Luckily, it's now $100 off, bringing it down to $649.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple iPad Air 11-inch (M4, WiFi) $649 at AmazonIf you're a professional creative in the market for an iPad, consider buying an iPad Pro. Leading up to the sale, we saw discounts up to $200 on last year's M4 model instead of the freshest M5 version. You can score an 11-inch iPad Pro with 2TB of storage and a nano-texture display. That brings the iPad Pro down to $1,899, which is still a steep price. If you want a Pro at a cheaper price (albeit, smaller discount,) go for the 11-inch iPad Pro with M5 chip and 256GB of storage, which is on sale for $60 off.

Wallets at the ready, folks: We're now just one day away from October Prime Day.
The sale, officially dubbed Prime Big Deal Days, is the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season — a chance to stock up on marked-down tech with deals on items such as AirPods.
The sale officially kicks off Oct. 6, but in the lead-up to the main event, our team will be tracking all the best AirPods deals. So far, we haven't seen any price drops on the newly announced AirPods 5 (more on that below), but we have seen some other competitive price drops — though no all-time lows yet. As someone who tests and writes about headphones and earbuds year-round, I get why Apple users are willing to invest in AirPods. As a deals expert, I also much prefer to see folks grab AirPods on sale.
SEE ALSO: Early October Prime Day deals already live: Save on Apple, Beats, Fire TV, and GarminThe key to shopping these sales smartly is grabbing deals at just the right time. That's why I've rounded up the three best AirPods deals live so far, plus the three that you can wait on before the big day finally kicks off. Check them out below, and be sure to follow more of Mashable's October Prime Day coverage.
Best AirPods deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple AirPods 4 $79 at WalmartThe humble AirPods 4. What they lack in active noise cancellation, they make up for in a more appealing price point of $79, a total discount of over $50. With the release of the AirPods 5, these are the last AirPods available without ANC. Maybe that's ideal for you, or maybe you simply appreciate the lower price point. In either case, this is likely the last holiday shopping season you can grab these buds on sale. Just note that they are still $10 away from their record low price of $69, but their availability may be limited as we get further into the shopping season — they've already sold out on Amazon.
Best AirPods Pro deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple AirPods Pro 3 $179For listeners who need ANC in their ears, the AirPods Pro 3 currently boast one of the best Amazon discounts on AirPods. Having just dropped to $179, they're now just $10 off their lowest-ever reduction of $169. Sure, they're not the latest and most advanced model anymore, but you get a bunch of great features, including adaptive noise cancellation, Live Translation, heart rate sensing, and three-dimensional spatial audio.
More AirPods dealsApple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation — $119 $179 (save $60)
Apple AirPods Max 2 — $429 $549 (save $120)
The AirPods 5 have only received one small deal — a $4 price drop — so far since their release on Sept. 18. Granted, they're still very new to the market, so even that price dip is notable. We're hoping that as we get further into holiday deal season, a slightly more substantial deal comes along.
The AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case haven't dropped in price just yet, so we're not holding our breath that they will, especially since they're still brand new. That said, October Prime Day would be a very appropriate time for a surprise deal, so the chance that we see even a small dip isn't zero. At the very least, grabbing them at full price is still likely a better deal than grabbing the AirPods 4 with ANC on sale (more on that below).
Amazon likes to drop the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation to $149 (down from $179), which might look like a good deal at first glance. But there's a catch. Their newer analog, the AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case, has a standard list price of $149 and comes with an improved feature set, including better active noise cancellation and sound quality, with the same battery life. In other words, paying $149 for the older model doesn't make sense — the AirPods 4 with ANC would have to be priced well below that (like the Best Buy deal we mentioned above) for it to be a deal worth picking up.
Amazon's fall Prime Day kicks off the holiday shopping season. Prime Big Deal Days runs from Oct. 6 to 7, so you'll want to clear some space on your calendar to shop. This 48-hour sale is an excellent time to check out deals on a wide variety of items, including Lego.
The sale, which is exclusive to Prime Members, is stacked with discounts already, but we've spotted tons of savings available to all.
From select Botanicals builds to Pokémon and Star Wars collabs, you can check out 15 of my favorite finds below.
Lego Botanicals Flower Bouquet has never been cheaperThe Lego Botanicals Flower Bouquet is an absolute delight for adult builders (as it's recommended for ages 18 and up), with its 756 pieces coming together to create a display of 15 stems including roses, snapdragons, poppies, asters, daisies, and grasses.
If it's one you've had on your radar, Amazon has a sweet little October Prime Day treat for you: it's currently at its lowest-ever price of $62.04. Plus, it's retiring soon, so no better time than the present to pick it up.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Botanicals Flower Bouquet $33.59 at AmazonPokémon fans have been treated to some very fun Lego builds this year, including this Eevee set. This adorable adult build launched earlier this year, featuring 587 bricks to create the beloved Pokémon. Once fully assembled, Eevee's head, ears, limbs, and tail can all move around for posing, and the set even comes with a fun easter egg that pays tribute to Eevee's evolutions.
If you've been eager to pick it up, Amazon's knocked it down to its lowest-ever price. You can snag this build for $47.99 instead of its usual $59.99, saving you $12.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Pokémon Eevee $47.99 at AmazonMario fans, start your engines: Lego's Super Mario: Mario Kart set is currently down to its lowest-ever price on Amazon. For October Prime Day, you can take $20 off this awesome 1,972-piece set, which features a brick-built Mario in his Standard Kart from Mario Kart.
Similar to the sets above, this is another one that's recommended for adult builders, likely because it's meant to be set up as a display piece once you're finished rather than played with as a toy. With its nearly 2,000 bricks, you'll put together Mario (whose head and arms can move) inside the Standard Kart, which can be positioned at different angles on the display stand. That helps make it quite a fun, dynamic display to have up.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Super Mario: Mario Kart $149.99 at AmazonIf you've got a Lego Smart Brick on hand, this deal is well worth checking out: Lego's Star Wars SMART Play: Millennium Falcon set has plummeted to its lowest-ever price at Amazon ahead of Prime Big Deal Days.
This Lego set does not come with the Lego Smart Brick, but it is compatible with it. If you already have one that comes included with the All-in-One sets, then you'll be able to enjoy the sounds of the Millennium Falcon and crew from this 885-piece build. As for what crew comes with the set, you'll get SMART Han Solo, SMART Chewbacca, SMART Luke Skywalker, and SMART C-3PO minifigures, alongside four SMART Tags to use with the Smart Brick.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Star Wars SMART Play: Millennium Falcon $79.95 at AmazonLego's 2026 Advent Calendars are officially live and already on sale. The Star Wars, Marvel, Lego City, and Disney Princess advent calendars all received a $10 discount at Amazon ahead of October Prime Day, which is a nice little treat if you're hoping to grab them before the holiday season.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar 2026 $35 at AmazonLego's Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant set is another build that's retiring soon, but before that happens, Amazon's offering an excellent price cut. Dropping to a new low price, this set has plummeted to $39.99 at the retailer, saving you $13.
Aimed at ages 10 and up, it includes the restaurant — decked out with a condiment station, soda machine, cash register, and more — alongside Beach Bomber, Beef Boss, Grimey, and skeleton minifigures that each come with their own accessories.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant $51.99 at AmazonThe Balrog Book Nook Kit is a great pick-up for adult Lord of the Rings fans who want a slightly different Lego display in their home. This 1,201-piece build, once fully assembled, can be slotted between books on your shelf, creating a cool little window into the unforgettable moment in the film when Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog clash. It can even be opened up to reveal a fuller scene.
Amazon has slashed over $20 off this set, knocking it down from $129.99 to $107.99. It's also just a cent away from its lowest-ever price of $107.98, so what better time to grab it?
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Icons The Lord of the Rings: Balrog Book Nook Kit $107.99 at AmazonGreat Scott! The Lego Icons Back to the Future Time Machine set received a $29.99 price cut long before Amazon's October Prime Day sale hit, and is still on sale. That's a nice little surprise. Normally listed at $199.99, the retailer dropped it to $170. It may not be its lowest-ever price there (that was $159.99), but it's not too far away from that mark.
While Lego has another DeLorean set geared toward kids, this build is meant for adult fans aged 18+. It comes with 1,872 pieces that create the car, which can be changed into three different versions: the first has a lightning rod and a plutonium chamber, the second has the Mr. Fusion generator and a hover conversion function to flight mode, and the third has whitewall tires and a circuit board. Plus, it also comes with an interchangeable OUTATIME license plate and minifigures of Doc and Marty McFly.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Icons Back to the Future Time Machine $170 at AmazonLego's Animal Crossing sets, like the Creative Houses set, are an absolute delight for fans. This build comes with 814 pieces that create two houses that can be placed either next to each other or stacked into a two-story home, but that's not all. The set also comes with accessories that let you change the setting with the seasons, including spring flowers, summer picnic accessories, autumn pumpkins and leaves, and snowmen for winter. And we can't forget about the minifigures of Stitches, Fuchsia, and Fang.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Animal Crossing Creative Houses: Seasons of Fun $72.89 at AmazonThe Lego Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 is another adult build set to retire soon (it's temporarily out of stock at Lego), so if you've been hoping to buy it, this is a great opportunity. And honestly, this 516-piece set seems worth every cent, creating a Polaroid OneStep SX-70 camera with a viewfinder, Color Spectrum, exposure compensation dial, and stickers, plus three illustrated photos for it.
Amazon has slashed the price of this set to $65.99. It may not be the lowest price we've ever seen (that was $63.95), but it's just a couple of dollars away. Since Lego is set to retire it soon, now is as good a time as any to grab it.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 $65.99 at AmazonFor those who love Lego's Technic builds, feast your eyes on this 732-piece Chevrolet Corvette Stingray model. If it's one you've had on your radar, this is a perfect time to pick it up, as Amazon has returned it to its lowest-ever price of $41.99. That's 30% off its original list price of $59.99.
While it's recommended for ages 9 and up, it looks like a set that builders of any age could enjoy. Of course, you'll create a brick-built version of the vibrant yellow car, but it also features moving components such as steering, an eight-cylinder engine, and opening doors and a hood. Whether it's used for play or display, it's a cool addition to any Lego car collection.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Technic Chevrolet Corvette Stingray $41.99 at AmazonHalloween is coming up fast, and this Lego Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion set is a wonderfully spooky way to celebrate the season. In total, it comes with 736 pieces and can be assembled in three different ways: a haunted house, a ghostly ship, or a train set. The minifigures are perfect additions to the setups, with a werewolf, a vampire, a ghost with a glow-in-the-dark cape, Frankenstein's monster, and a skeleton.
Normally it's priced at $89.99, but Amazon's knocked it down to $76.99. That saves you $13 overall, but it's also just a few dollars away from its lowest-ever price at the retailer. No tricks here, that's just a nice savings treat.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion $76.99 at AmazonIf the Harry Potter show coming soon to HBO Max has you itching to jump back into the Wizarding World, it's worth having a look at this 2,750-piece Lego Diagon Alley set. Recommended for adult builders, it sees you creating a massive Diagon Alley display, complete with microscale versions of shops like Eeylops Owl Emporium, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, the Leaky Cauldron, and The Daily Prophet HQ. On top of that, it also comes with a whopping 12 microfigures.
While it's usually listed at $199.99, it's currently just a few cents from its lowest-ever price at the retailer.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Harry Potter Diagon Alley Wizarding Shops $171.99 at AmazonThis Lego Star Wars AT-AT set is another build recommended for adults, paying homage to the Battle of Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back. With a grand total of 525 pieces, you'll create a mid-scale AT-AT walker that has a Rebel Alliance Snowspeeder wrapping a tow cable around its legs. It also comes with a display stand to show it off once you've assembled it, plus a nameplate as a finishing touch.
If you've had your eye on it, you're in luck: Amazon's discounted it to $51.99. This is $13 off its usual list price of $64.99 and is incredibly close to its lowest-ever price of $51.95.
Opens in a new window Credit: Lego Lego Star Wars AT-AT $51.99 at AmazonIf you're tackling a DIY job at home or finally getting around to that project you've been putting off for months, a decent power tool can make things a lot easier. Prime Big Deal Days sale is just about here — and so are some excellent Apple deals. This 48-hour "October Prime Day" serves as Amazon's kickoff to the Black Friday/holiday shopping season, which is the best time to find discounts on popular Apple devices (among many other tech products we love). This year, it doubles as some year-end relief from RAMageddon price increases.
While Prime Big Deal Days isn't scheduled to begin until midnight PT on Oct. 6, Amazon is already rolling out some great early deals on AirPods, Apple Watches, iPads, and MacBooks. Some of them are even better than we expected. If you don't want to wait around to see if they further improve — doubtful, for the most part — read on to see what's up for grabs.
How we picked the best October Prime Day Apple dealsMashable tracks Apple prices year-round and has covered Prime Big Deal Days since it started in 2022 (back when it was still called the Prime Early Access Sale). We've reviewed every current Apple device except for the Apple Watch Series 12, which shares all of its new features with the Apple Watch Ultra 4; and the latest Mac desktops, which our sister site PCMag has already tested extensively.
SEE ALSO: 21 early October Prime Day tech deals, hand-picked by our gadget-obsessed expertsTo identify the very best October Prime Day Apple deals, we've compared Amazon's current prices with historical pricing data on camelcamelcamel, a popular price-tracking site, as well as our coverage of past Amazon Prime events. Many of the devices listed below are sitting at their lowest prices in three months. Those that have been cheaper recently have been marked as "deals to watch," while those marked with a 🔥 have fallen to all-time lows (as in, they've never been cheaper before).
I've cross-checked all of Amazon's live Apple deals with other major retailers to make sure no one else has even lower prices. Right now, the only devices I would buy elsewhere are the AirPods 4 with and without ANC: They're sold out on Amazon, but Best Buy and Walmart, respectively, still have them in stock at three-month lows. Stay tuned to see if Amazon brings them back at the same prices once Prime Big Deal Days starts — we'll continue to monitor deals and update this story as the sale progresses.
Best AirPods deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple AirPods 4 $79 at WalmartThe entry-level AirPods 4 are now 39% cheaper than the AirPods 5 that Apple announced last month. (They're also only $10 away from their record-low price from last Black Friday.) They lack noise cancellation and don't sound quite as good as their successors, but this deal makes them a very smart pick for budget buyers. Mashable's Bethany Allard notes that "their availability may be limited as we get further into the shopping season," so best grab' em now while you still can.

Mashable tech editor Timothy Beck Werth called Apple's ultraportable "a damn near-perfect machine" in his review, pointing to its elite design, amazing speakers, and incredibly fast performance. It's a Mashable Choice Award winner, and we think it's the best MacBook for most people who just need a dependable daily driver. If either size sells out on Amazon, look for the same deals at Best Buy.

The iPad mini is our favorite Apple tablet for reading. Mashable's Samantha Mangino was "delighted by its light weight" when she swapped her regular 10.2-inch iPad for this more compact 8.3-inch model; it only weighs 0.65 pounds. "Plus," she added, "unlike the [current] iPad 11th generation, it has an anti-reflective coating to help you read in any lighting." The 128GB base model with cellular connectivity is marked down to just $649 on Amazon — a $100 savings that negates its own June price increase.
The non-cellular iPad mini is also $100 off, though it was $10 cheaper in July. I would wait see if Amazon revives that deal within the next 48 hours or so.

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days (aka October Prime Day) is coming in hot, and with it, a smorgasbord of discounts on Amazon devices. The annual sale runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 7 this year and presents the perfect opportunity to kickstart your holiday shopping.
It's no surprise Amazon offers the biggest markdowns on its own devices. And since Amazon increased prices across its hardware range by as much as 60% last month, this year's October Prime Day sale couldn't come at a better time.
Amazon has marked down nearly all of its products. Just a week after Amazon released 2026 models of Kindles, the retailer dropped prices on 2024 Kindle models. Plus, you can save up to 50% on the Echo Dot, but the new Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio are also on sale. We've found savings on Fire tablets, Blink cameras, Fire TV streaming sticks and soundbars, Fire TVs, and eero devices, too.
Plus, don't forget about Amazon's subscription deals for Prime newcomers, which are already live:

If you've been patiently waiting for Kindle deals to drop, the wait is over. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is one of our favorite e-readers. With 32GB of storage, it has space for thousands of books. It also has an auto-adjusting front light and wireless charging capabilities. It's exceptionally fast, too, as it never stutters when opening books or turning pages.
Plus, we're thrilled about the Signature Edition's sale price. It's dropped to $169.99, taking 32% off its list price of $249.99. That saves you $80, the device's first discount since Amazon raised its price in August 2026.
Plus, when you buy a new Kindle, make sure to include three months of Kindle Unlimited in your purchase because it's totally free (a $35.97 value).

While it's hardly a new device, the Fire HD 10 tablet is still a solid pick for anyone who just wants a tablet to stream shows, check emails, and browse social media. Mashable's reviewer SaVanna Shoemaker called it "lighter and faster than its predecessors, with a long battery life and vivid picture that makes it great for on-the-go entertainment." Compared to other well-known tablets, she also adds that it's an "excellent value." It's not going to knock your socks off, but it'll get the job done and won't break the bank — especially now that it's on sale for only $72.99, a full 53% off its list price.

The entire Fire TV Stick lineup was affected by the August price hike, so we're surprised that the discounts are still at pre-hike levels. Prime members can score the 4K Select for only $17.99, which is 64% in savings.
The 4K Select is Amazon's newest 4K Fire TV Stick with HDR10+ support and the first to feature its new Linux-based operating system. That means a few things: it's speedier and more streamlined than older Fire Sticks, but also more limited. If you like sideloading apps, this streaming stick won't let you (go with the 4K Plus instead). It also offers support for Alexa+, Amazon Kids+, Amazon Luna, Xbox Game Pass, and NordVPN.

Mashable's discerning reporters and editors are constantly testing the latest gadgets, from e-readers to headphones, laptops, phones, power stations, smart rings, and portable speakers. This year, many of our favorite products have been besieged by price hikes as a result of the ongoing memory crisis. Fortunately, Amazon is about to bring tech shoppers some relief in the form of Prime Big Deal Days, better known as October Prime Day.
Set for Oct. 6 and 7, Prime Big Deal Days is a 48-hour sale for members of Amazon's Prime program. Often referred to as "October Prime Day," it serves as Amazon's unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season. We've been covering the event since its inception in 2022, back when it was still called the Prime Early Access Sale. And this year, we'll be keeping an extra close eye on the best early Prime Day tech deals.
SEE ALSO: Try Amazon Prime for free for 30 days to get access to October Prime Day 2026In the lead-up to the sale, Amazon is already offering some steep discounts on select devices from brands like Apple, TCL, Garmin, Beats, and Sony. After spending hours poring over these deals, we've identified the best early Prime Day deals that are so good, we'd buy them ourselves.
How do we pick these deals? We look for products we recommend at record-low prices (or close to them). We use price-tracking tools like camelcamelcamel to see if Amazon's discounts are actually better than usual, then cross-check them with other retailers' listings to make sure they're not cheaper elsewhere. (Walmart and Target are both gearing up to host their own October sales, FYI.) You can add our picks to your cart with confidence. And if we expect prices to drop lower in the days ahead, we'll be sure to tell you that.
So, without any further ado, these are the best early October Prime Day deals we've spotted so far.
$79 AirPods (a Prime Day classic)It wouldn't be an Amazon Prime event without some heavily discounted AirPods. But, ironically, before the sale officially begins, you can also grab these earbuds for $79 at Walmart. That could change come Oct. 6, as Amazon may be holding back some inventory for Prime Big Deal Days.
Apple's fourth-generation earbuds have excellent audio quality, a comfortable fit, and a five-hour battery life. The newer AirPods 5 sound even better and add ANC, but this pair is still a great option for iOS users on a budget. (Read Mashable's review.)
Note: The AirPods 4 dipped down to $69 last Black Friday, but $79 is their lowest price so far in 2026. Plus, they probably won't be in stock much longer now that their successors have launched.

If you're a professional creative, developer, or AI enthusiast who needs a compact new laptop for work, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option than the 14-inch, M5 Max-powered MacBook Pro. The "base" configuration with 36GB of RAM and 2TB of storage got a $500 price increase back in June, which bumped it from $3,599 to $4,099. But right now, Amazon has it on sale for just $3,499 — a $600 savings.
If you don't need the powerful MacBook Pro's features or the price tag, you can go with the M5 MacBook Air while it's on sale for $1,099, or $200 off the normal price. Not only is it highly portable, but it also uses the M5 chip, and it stays in a moderate lane without going wild with features not everyone needs. It's a great buy for students or professionals.

It's a great time to pick up a robot vacuum, and you can start shopping for one right now, in fact.
A robot that's on vacuum or even mop duty can be a massive help when hosting a full house over the holidays, or it can keep your home tidy year-round with regularly scheduled cleaning. It can keep up with crumbs and tracked-in dirt between visits while you deal with the cooking and decorating, or while you're just living your best life.
Robot vacuums come in a pretty wide range. Some models can basically just vacuum on a schedule you set in an app, while others also mop, map each room of your house, and empty themselves into a base that holds weeks of debris. It really just depends on what you're looking for. And right now, robot vacuums of all stripes are discounted.
Amazon adds new deals several times a day, and the best ones can sell out fast, so we'll keep checking prices and updating this list until the sale ends. For now, these are the best robot vacuum deals you can get right now ahead of the sale. Be sure to check back for new deals before and during the big days.

(Fun fact: It was originally called the Prime Early Access Sale.) It's often referred to as "October Prime Day" because its deals are exclusively for Amazon Prime members, just like the retailer's flagship Prime Day sale.
Prime Big Deal Days serves as Amazon's unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season.
When does Prime Big Deal Days start?Prime Big Deal Days 2026 will officially begin at 3:01 a.m. ET (12:01 a.m. PT) on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It will end at 2:59 a.m ET on Wednesday, Oct. 8 (11:59 p.m. PT on Oct. 7).
How is Prime Big Deal Days different from Prime Day?Prime Big Deal Days is a two-day event in the fall, while Prime Day is a four-day event in the summer. (It's usually in July, but Amazon moved it up to June this year because of the timing of the FIFA World Cup and the U.S. 250th anniversary, a company exec told Reuters.)

Today's Big Deals will drop daily at 3 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4 p.m. ET during the sale, so keep a lookout. They're only available while supplies last.

Black Friday generally features better deals than October Prime Day. There are several reasons for this:
Basically every retailer runs a Black Friday sale, so there's a wider selection of deals available; the festivities aren't limited to Amazon and its immediate competitors (more on them momentarily).
Black Friday deals are open to everyone, not just Prime members.
Retailers really want to clear their shelves of old inventory ahead of the new year, so they're inclined to offer record-low prices during Black Friday.
That said, there is a lot of overlap between October Prime Day and Black Friday deals, especially when it comes to Amazon devices. (Most of the Echo, Kindle, and Fire TV deals we'll see during Prime Big Deal Days will probably pop back up in November.) You should definitely still check out Prime Big Deal Days if:
You're a Prime member who wants to maximize the benefits of your subscription.
You want to avoid the chaos of Black Friday and get your holiday shopping over with.
You're worried about an item on your wishlist selling out before the holidays.
You need an item sooner than late November or early December for gifting purposes.
Target and Walmart are both planning to run their own sales alongside Prime Big Deal Days. (Target's Circle Deal Days is also set for Oct. 6 and 7, while Walmart's Fall Deals event runs for a whole week from Oct. 5 to 11.) Best Buy previously said that its "[holiday] Savings start in October," but it hasn't confirmed anything yet.
How many times a year is Prime Day? Credit: AmazonPrime Day technically only happens once a year in mid-summer, but Amazon puts on two other Prime-exclusive events throughout the year that function similarly. One is Prime Big Deal Days in early October; the other is the Big Spring Sale in late March.
Do you need to be a Prime member to shop Prime Big Deal Days?Amazon's October Prime Day deals are reserved for members of its Prime program, but you don't need to pay for a subscription to participate. Shoppers who haven't had an active Prime membership within the past 12 months can score a free 30-day trial. Just remember to cancel your membership before your trial period ends, or else you'll get charged. (Prime normally costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually.)
