Amazon's third annual Big Spring Sale is live through March 31. The event mainly revolves around seasonal essentials like cleaning supplies and outdoor gear, but it's also hosting some very attractive deals on must-have tech — including flagship Apple products like MacBooks. As Mashable's resident laptop expert, I'm on the case.
Apple actually just refreshed its MacBook lineup earlier this month, announcing updated MacBook Airs and Pros in addition to an all-new budget MacBook Neo. Most configurations of these new releases are seeing their very first (tiny) discounts during the Big Spring Sale, while their predecessors are priced to move at up to $300 off.
SEE ALSO: Amazon's Big Spring Sale is surprisingly good: We found 111+ deals on Apple, DJI, Sony, and DysonKeep in mind that Apple has discontinued its last-gen MacBooks, which means they'll only be available on the refurbished market once third-party retailers' inventories dry up. If you see a good deal on an M4 MacBook Air or Pro on Amazon this week, don't wait too long to add it to your cart. A few configurations are starting to go in and out of stock, and I think they'll sell out long before this summer's Prime Day sale.
I'll continue to monitor Amazon's Big Spring Sale MacBook deals as the sale continues into next week, so check back if nothing catches your eye just yet. Note: Deals marked with a 🔥 have dropped to a record-low price.
Best MacBook Air deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple MacBook Air, 15-inch (M4, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) 🔥 $1,099 at AmazonThe M4 MacBook Air may be a last-gen laptop, but it's still an incredibly capable ultraportable. (In our testing, it proved much faster than much pricier Windows laptops.) It has the same 12MP Center Stage webcam, Liquid Retina display, and 18-hour battery life as its new M5 counterpart, which just offers slightly faster performance and newer wireless connectivity. This 15-inch configuration with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage has never been cheaper.

Nine bucks off barely counts as a discount, but this is the best MacBook Neo deal I've seen outside of the Apple Store itself. (You can get $100 off there, but only if you're a college student, a parent of one, or school faculty.) This colorful little laptop has the same premium aluminum build as any other MacBook, and it boasts incredibly impressive single-core performance; in basic everyday tasks like web browsing, it's just as fast as an M4 MacBook Air. This particular model comes with Touch ID.

Best MacBook Pro deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple MacBook Pro, 14-inch (M5, 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD) $1,799 at AmazonA MacBook Pro has more ports and a brighter, smoother display than a MacBook Air. It's also better at handling heavier workloads (like video editing) over a long period of time since it has fans. I recommend it as an upgrade pick for power users like content creators and developers. This current-gen M5 model is well future-proofed with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It's only $50 away from its record-low price from December.
Another configuration with an older, but more powerful M4 Pro chip is still in stock at the same price, though it comes with half the storage.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale is back for its third consecutive year, with deals running across the site through March 31. The retailer began rolling out wide-ranging discounts earlier this week, with more to come as prices drop on such items as robot vacuums, TVs, and your daily essentials. And if there's one thing we can always guarantee, it's that this sale features a raft of much-welcome Apple deals.
Apple has kept us very busy so far in 2026. We've been hard at work testing the first-ever budget Neo MacBook, as well as the upgraded MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros, a new iPad Air, and the iPhone 17e. Next on our Apple to-do list: the upcoming AirPods Max 2.
With so many new Apple products, we're seeing a bunch of first-time discounts during the Amazon Spring Sale, as well as new record-low prices on last-gen models like the Apple Watch SE 2 and M4 MacBook Air. What more could you want from a major sale event? Just keep in mind that many of the older models are selling out fast at Amazon. If the model you want is no longer available, be sure to check the stock at Best Buy and Walmart. These retailers are matching many of the best Spring Sale deals.
We'll be tracking prices on AirPods, MacBooks, and iPads between now and March 31, so keep checking back on this page for info on the lowest-possible prices across Apple products.
Best AirPods deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple AirPods Pro 3 $199 at AmazonWe've always been fans of the AirPods Pro, but the third generation really takes them to new heights. Mashable's reviewer called them, "without a doubt, one of the best products of the year" in 2025.
The latest premium buds feature outstanding noise cancellation (twice as good as the Pro 2), a solid eight hours of battery life with ANC on, and new foam-infused tips that come in five sizes to find the perfect fit. Apple also brought the heart rate monitoring tech from the Powerbeats Pro 2 (our favorite earbuds for working out) and Fitness app compatibility to the new AirPods Pro 3, and introduced a live translation feature.
While we've seen the buds drop as low as $184 in the past, this Amazon spring sale discount is still worth grabbing.

Apple AirPods Max (1st Gen, USB-C) — $449.99 $549 (save $99.01 — also available at Walmart)
This four-pack of Apple's Bluetooth trackers keeps going in and out of stock on Amazon, which is hardly surprising: It's never been cheaper there. (It dipped to $62.99 on Black Friday, but the $59.99 sale price is a new record-low price.) You wind up paying just $15 per AirTag. Walmart and Best Buy are both offering the same deal; if you can't find it in stock on Amazon, be sure to check there.
Best iPad deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad Air, 13-inch (M4, WiFi, 128GB) $746.50 at AmazonJust launched earlier this month, the 13-inch M4 iPad Air is already on sale for $84.50 off. The base configuration with WiFi connectivity and 128GB of storage is now just $746.50 (normally $799). Mashable's tech editor took the M4 iPad Air for a spin and found it pretty impressive — too impressive for the average user, even. "It delivers iterative updates that improve an already stellar tablet," he writes in his review.

Apple released its new MacBook Air with the M5 chip this month, but honestly, they're not a whole lot different than the M4 Airs. The main differences are the upgraded processor and a new wireless chip. You can save some money by grabbing the M4 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage, which is currently down to just $949 at Best Buy. Amazon had the same deal at the start of the Big Spring Sale, but it's since gone out of stock multiple times and jumped up to $999.

The Apple Watch Series 11 offers significant battery improvements over its predecessor. For that reason alone, it's worth the upgrade. It also features a tougher build with durable glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, 5G capability for quicker connectivity, and a Sleep Score and hypertension tool that can flag chronic high blood pressure. It's not a major upgrade (is anything in 2026?), but as Mashable's reviewer put it: "Buy it for the battery life." Now $100 cheaper, it's an even better value.

The sun is rising, flowers are beginning to bloom, and pollen is in the air (so much pollen). This all means spring is finally here, and Amazon is ready to celebrate in its customary fashion: with deals across tons of categories.

The deals featured in this sale reflect the spirit of the season: Outdoor gear and yard care supplies, spring cleaning supplies, spring fashion, and other household essentials will be the major featured deals. However, there's no shortage of savings on QLED TVs, flagship Sony headphones, Apple devices, Shark and Dyson hair tools, and of course, Amazon devices like Kindles and Echo smart speakers.

The JBuds Lux ANC are the best budget headphones we've tested in recent memory, offering decent noise cancellation, a long battery life, and balanced sound. (Just note that their fit can be hit or miss.) They're a great value at their regular price of $80, but a coupon on their Amazon product page bumps them down to just $37.79 — a 50% savings. We saw them dip to $27 at Walmart on Black Friday, but this is their lowest-ever price on Amazon.
And if you're looking to spend a bit more for a more comfortable fit and top-notch ANC, flagship headphones from Apple, Bose, and Sony are all on sale.

Weighing in at just under 25 pounds, Anker's Solix C1000 Gen 2 portable power station makes an excellent camping companion. The power station can keep your devices juiced up and even has enough oomph to power up some cute fairy lights or whip up a quick meal in the air fryer. It can also recharge in under 50 minutes, which can really come in handy when you're off the grid. If you're an on-the-go gamer, the Asus ROG Flow Z13 should make your shortlist. It has a 180Hz display (so smooth), a detachable keyboard, and an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip that offers RTX 4060-level graphics performance.
GTA V star Ned Luke recently told Mashable he uses this gaming laptop when he travels, calling it "an animal." The model with 32GB of RAM and a terabyte of disk space is $330 off on Amazon, and it comes with a free copy of Crimson Desert. It's never been cheaper before. (Best Buy is price-matching it, but doesn't throw in the free game code.)

We're happy to report that the bestselling Ninja Creami is just as great as TikTok says it is. Once you fill and freeze its pints with the base of your choice, "It makes ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt, sorbet, and smoothie bowls with just the press of a button," writes Mashable's Samantha Mangino.
This TikTok-famous appliance is marked down to $199.99 during the Big Spring Sale (or $30 off), which matches deals at Best Buy, Target, and the SharkNinja website. However, Amazon one-ups them all by throwing in a free $19.96 credit on top of that discount; you save about $50 total there.
Check out Mashable's full review of the Ninja Creami.

The Laifen hair dryer that Mashable's hair tool expert, Bethany Allard, named as the best Dyson Supersonic dupe is on sale for the spring sale. But maybe you won't be as hard-pressed to find a good dupe when the fanciest Supersonic is at a new record-low price.
The Supersonic Nural's main flex over the regular Supersonic is a system of sensors that automatically lower heat near your head, preventing a sizzling scalp. The Nural can also remember your preferred settings just based on the attachment being used, and knows to pause airflow when you set it down.

Warmer weather means open windows at home. And for the lucky folks, open windows at home mean allergy-induced sniffles. Make this the year that you finally get an air purifier for your home. This Blueair model can clean up to 1,858 square feet in an hour (a much larger reach than other purifiers under $200 in this list). The powerful HEPA filter can remove airborne particles that irritate our respiratory systems, like pollen, dust, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke, so you'll benefit from the benefits of filtered air indoors year-round.

The Moon is just a few nights away from full, so there's plenty to spot on its surface.
What is today’s Moon phase? As of Sunday, March 29, the Moon phase is Waxing Gibbous. According to NASA's Daily Moon Guide, 85% of the Moon will be lit up tonight.
Tonight, without visual aids, you can spot the Serenitatis, Imbrium, and Vaporum Mares. With binoculars, you'll also be able to see the Mare Frigoris, Archimedes Crater, and the Clavius Crater. With a telescope, enjoy a glimpse of the Caucasus Mountains and the Apollo 12 landing spot, and the Linne Crater.
When is the next Full Moon?In North America, the next Full Moon is predicted to take place on April 1.
What are Moon phases?According to NASA, the Moon completes one orbit around Earth in roughly 29.5 days, cycling through eight distinct phases. While the same side of the Moon always faces us, sunlight illuminates varying portions as it travels, making it appear full, half, or a narrow crescent. These shifting appearances are known as the lunar phases, and there are eight in total:
New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).
Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).
First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.
Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.
Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.
Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)
Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.
Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.
If you like playing daily word games like Wordle, then Hurdle is a great game to add to your routine.
There are five rounds to the game. The first round sees you trying to guess the word, with correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters shown in each guess. If you guess the correct answer, it'll take you to the next hurdle, providing the answer to the last hurdle as your first guess. This can give you several clues or none, depending on the words. For the final hurdle, every correct answer from previous hurdles is shown, with correct and misplaced letters clearly shown.
An important note is that the number of times a letter is highlighted from previous guesses does necessarily indicate the number of times that letter appears in the final hurdle.
If you find yourself stuck at any step of today's Hurdle, don't worry! We have you covered.

Today's NYT Strands hints are easy if you have a bird feeder.
Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

SAVE $199.01: The 11-inch Apple iPad Air (M3, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) is discounted to $649.99 during Amazon's Big Spring Sale. That's 23% off its $849 MSRP, its biggest discount to date. It now costs the same as a WiFi-only model.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad Air, 11-inch (M3, WiFi + Cellular, 256GB) $649.99 at AmazonApple announced the M4 iPad Air earlier this month, which means Amazon is clearing out its remaining stock of the (very similar) M3 version during its Big Spring Sale this week. If you're hunting for a bargain on a pretty, peppy, and portable tablet, look no further.
In one of the sale's best last-gen tech deals, an 11-inch M3 iPad Air with 256GB of storage and cellular connectivity is marked down to just $649.99 on Amazon as of March 28 — a 23% discount on its usual retail price of $849. Not only has it never been cheaper before, but it now costs the same as its also-on-sale WiFi-only counterpart (normally $699, currently $649). You're effectively getting the cellular upgrade for free.
SEE ALSO: Amazon's Spring Sale is surprisingly good this year: We found 150+ deals on Apple, Kindle, Bose, and NinjaI wouldn't be surprised if this deal sold out well before the Big Spring Sale wraps on March 31. (For now, it applies to all four colorways: purple, blue, starlight, and space gray.) The 128GB version of the same iPad Air is now out of stock after Amazon gave it a $200 discount at the start of the event on March 25.
A new 11-inch M4 iPad Air with the same specs will cost you $840 at the moment, or $190 more, and I have a tough time justifying that upcharge since it's such an iterative update. It just features a little more RAM, newer wireless standards for some extra future-proofing, and a small performance bump. (Per Mashable Tech Editor Timothy Beck-Werth, "the M3 chip is still powerful enough for 99 percent of users.") Otherwise, the two iPad Airs have the same bright Liquid Retina display, 12MP cameras, Dolby Atmos speakers, and 1.03-pound build.
For what it's worth, I was only seeing this M3 iPad Air deal on Amazon at the time of writing. The same configuration was going for $799 at Best Buy; the Apple Store no longer carries it.

The Trump T1 smartphone saga has dragged on for almost a full year since its announcement last summer, and at every step of that process, it's felt like a fake product that will never come out... until now.
In its endless quest to document this elusive smartphone, The Verge found a series of FCC listings for a phone called "T1" that suggest the product was tested and granted certification by the federal agency over the past few months. As is common with FCC listings, the documents are largely redacted and contain no photos or other useful information about the phone itself. They also don't reference Trump or any of the other corporate entities previously attached to the phone, such as "Trump Mobile," instead referring to a new company called Smart Gadgets Global. That company's CEO is Eric Thomas, who is an established executive at Trump Mobile.
SEE ALSO: Advertisers shift to conservative creators over progressives under TrumpSo, while all of this is weird and vaguely suspicious, we can confirm that the FCC has certified a phone called the T1, which was submitted by a Trump Mobile executive. All of this will be a lot more believable if/when the phone is actually in people's hands, but for now, we have to at least act like the T1 is real.
The T1 was announced last June as a $500 "made in America" Android device with a golden exterior, somewhat respectable specs, and a target audience of true patriots. It didn't take long for people to realize that some major components couldn't have been made in America, and the phone missed its original September release date. It was delayed again in December, somewhat shockingly, before re-emerging in February with new specs and an altered appearance. That $500 price was also revealed at that time to be for early adopters only, with later customers being subject to an undetermined higher price point.
To be clear, there is still every possibility that the T1 is not real and will never come out. But it looks more real today than it did a week ago.
In the latest iteration of "AI comes for our jobs," the English translator for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now claims that the game's developers, Czech-based Warhorse Studios, are planning to replace all translation work with artificial intelligence, making his job "obsolete."
Max Hejtmánek, the game's long-time English translator, took to Reddit earlier today to announce his layoff in a post titled "Fired from Warhorse Studios and replaced with AI" in the r/kingdomcome subreddit. The subreddit's moderators claim to have verified his identity, while an update to Hejtmánek's LinkedIn profile indicates he's no longer working for Warhorse.
The post begins with the worry that many people, especially in creative industries, now share: "Yesterday, March 27th 2026, with no forewarning, I was invited to a meeting and promptly told that, in an effort to "make the company more effective" and "save finances", as of next month, my position at the company would become "obsolete" in favour of using AI for all translations going forward."
SEE ALSO: AI translator turns English into LinkedIn speakAccording to Hejtmánek, he had been working at Warhorse Studios since 2022, doing Czech-to-English translation work, and his layoff is just the latest in a series of high-profile job losses that underscore how disruptive artificial intelligence has been in creative industries.
It also raises important questions about AI's incursion into art, for while it's undoubtedly true that artificial intelligence can perform fast, cheap translation work — just as it can create fast, cheap cartoons, action sequences, movie dialogue, etc. — it's also true that removing the human element from art work necessarily cheapens the final product and even calls into question the entire enterprise: if art is no longer a human project but a machine one, what possible purpose does it serve?
Hejtmánek alluded to this problem in his original post: "I want you to know that the growing use of AI greatly affects people in the games industry and many others, and I thought you should know how much the company that makes the games you love value the work of their employees, not to mention the environment."
Today, the translator of a game was replaced, but what's next? The story writer? The design artists? The voice actors? How many human roles can be lost to AI before the entire enterprise gets called into question? And, as Max points out, what does it say about a company so eager to replace its human workforce with an AI one?
Among passionate TikTok communities, BookTok, may be the most influential.
BookTok is where book lovers and e-reader obsessives to come together to discuss their favorite books and device hacks. For readers who use e-readers, Kindle, Kobo, and Boox lead the charge as the most popular devices, so it's notable when a new device goes viral. "Mini Kindles" appear to be the latest device to cause a stir on BookTok, with hundreds of videos showcasing the tiny e-readers.
On TikTok, searching for "mini Kindle" (or "mini Kindle pods") brings up dozens of user videos showing someone walking into a Barnes & Noble or Target and then cutting to an unboxing of a so-called "mini Kindle". As someone who tests e-readers for a living, this confused me.
I have no reason to believe these e-readers are actually being purchased at Barnes & Noble, nor do they have any apparent affiliation with Amazon Kindles.
In fact, the devices being hyped in these videos appear to be sold by the users who post them.
In a since-deleted video, user @aurealeaf directs viewers to the website NovaLeaf, where the "NovaLeaf Mini Kindle" is listed. (Editor's note: As of this writing, the @aurealeaf account is no longer available.) Another user, @hydro_scope, directs viewers to their website with a listing for a NOVA Mini Pink Kindle. Both devices claim to be pocket-sized e-readers under the Kindle name, despite no affiliation with Amazon.
We reached out to both @aurealeaf and @hydro_scope, and we'll update this post if we receive a response.
Are mini Kindle pods actually Kindles? These mini Kindles do not seem to be actual Kindle e-readers or associated with Amazon at all, nor does Amazon sell any mini version of the Kindle e-readers. We reached out for comment from Amazon and have not heard back at the time of publication.
By performing reverse image searches on Nova and NovaLeaf websites, I found that the "mini Kindles" listed for sale there are visual matches for devices manufactured by a company called Oilsky. They appear to be 4-inch touchscreen MP3 and 1080p video players. With built-in access to the Google Play store, the Kindle app is available to download onto the device; however, that appears to be the only connection to Amazon.
The Oilsky MP3 player and copycat versions are currently listed on Amazon. These TikTok-based sellers have their mini Kindles listed for $79.99, about $10 more than the direct Oilsky listing on Amazon. Oilsky MP3 players are not listed for sale at Barnes & Noble or Target.
In short, the viral TikTok videos are using the word "Kindle" to refer to any e-reader-like device and may be at risk of legal action from Amazon.
As of this writing, the @aurealeaf TikTok account is no longer available.

Meta, one of the mega-corporations advancing artificial intelligence the fastest, has agreed to underwrite the energy costs of its newest and largest data center in Northeast Louisiana, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Currently under construction in Richland Parish, Louisiana, the new data center is projected to cost $27 billion and consume up to 5 gigawatts of power, enough to power approximately 1 million homes. In an attempt to convey the scale of the undertaking, and while sounding like a James Bond villain without realizing it, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the finished data center as "so large it would cover a significant part of Manhattan."
SEE ALSO: Meta, YouTube found guilty of negligence in history-making social media addiction trialBut to ensure that the good people of Louisiana don't subsidize the undertaking with absurdly high electricity bills, Meta has signed an agreement with Entergy Louisiana to privately fund new energy infrastructure throughout the state, including seven new natural gas power plants with a total energy output of 5,200 megawatts, 240 miles of 500-kilovolt transmission lines, and three new battery storage locations to help store excess energy.
Fears about the economic disruptions caused by artificial intelligence, as well as the rising toll on the environment and local energy grids, have crossed political lines, with a recent poll finding that majorities of registered Democrats, Republicans, and independents support stronger regulation of AI and data centers. However, the same poll also found that majorities across all age groups continue to use AI at least once a month.
The global memory shortage due to rapid AI data center expansion is hitting everyone, even the biggest tech companies in the world.
Case in point: Sony is suspending orders for almost all SD card sales from both vendors and consumers, per PetaPixel. The announcement was made on Sony's Japanese website, and explicitly blamed the lack of available memory as a reason why it can't fulfill SD card orders for the time being. Sony's full statement is as follows:
Thank you for your continued patronage of Sony products.
Due to the global shortage of semiconductors (memory) and other factors, it is anticipated that supply will not be able to meet demand for CFexpress memory cards and SD memory cards for the foreseeable future. Therefore, we have decided to temporarily suspend the acceptance of orders from our authorized dealers and from customers at the Sony Store from March 27, 2026 onwards.
Regarding the resumption of order acceptance, we will consider it while monitoring the supply situation and will announce it separately on the product information page.
SEE ALSO: PS5, PS5 Pro price hikes announced as Sony blames economic pressuresCFExpress Type A and Type B cards, as well as regular SD cards, are all affected by this move. Some low-end cards appear to still be in production, per PetaPixel, but as it stands, just assume that any card you see on a store shelf is the last one you'll see there for a while from Sony. The company's statement even straight up said that it doesn't know when it will be able to get the manufacturing up and running again.
Sony follows Western Digital as a fellow big tech memory manufacturer that is feeling the squeeze from the needs of data centers. Western Digital announced in February that it had sold out of all hard drives for the year, with 10 whole months to go. This wasn't a great week for Sony in general, as the company also announced massive price hikes on its current-gen PlayStation video game consoles, most likely for the same reasons that it had to stop making SD cards.
