It's a great week if you like deals. As of March 25, Amazon is hosting the first major sale event of 2026. The Amazon Big Spring Sale spans almost the entire week, ending Tuesday, March 31.

Like all Amazon sales, there is an abundance of deals to sort through, and that's especially true if you're searching for items that fall into the category of under $50. Maybe you're searching for the perfect birthday gift, thinking ahead to Mother's Day (May 10 this year, FYI), or simply don't want to spend a ton; an under-$50 budget allows for plenty of buying power.

OK, this one is not technically under $50, but it's so close and such a good deal, we couldn't pass up including it here. One of the more controversial parts of the Switch 2 release was the higher game prices, including on the first title live with the console: Mario Kart World. The good news is that if you've been waiting for the $80 game to drop in price, Spring Sale season has you covered. Thanks to this markdown at Woot!, you can pick it up for $64.99. As a shopping reporter, trust me when I say I understand better than most that Amazon's sale schedule can feel fatiguing. However, as a headphones reviewer, I also can't deny that this year's Big Spring Sale offers a great opportunity to upgrade your audio game on the cheap.

Having spent a few years testing headphones, and the last year covering the latest in noise-cancelling tech, open earbuds, and sleep earbuds, I went into this last week of March curious to see what the third iteration of Amazon's Big Spring Sale could bring. Sure, I'd seen the mega-retailer offer some solid tech deals in the two years prior, but so far, this iteration of the sale is proving that Amazon isn't playing with savings on headphones.

Case in point: The newly announced Apple AirPods Max 2 are already $19 off even though they're still in their preorder phase. Sony's latest flagship headphones and earbuds are also marked down, and Shokz has plenty of deals for anyone looking for a new pair of workout earbuds.

Bose gear wasn't on sale when the Big Spring Sale began on March 25, but as of March 27, Amazon is finally discounting its QuietComfort headphones, QuietComfort Ultra 2 headphones, and Ultra Open earbuds, too.

The Big Spring Sale runs until March 31 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Anything is possible, but with most of the below deals, I don't imagine we'll see wild fluctuations in price. In other words, if you see a pair of headphones or earbuds you like, I recommend scooping them up.

Sony's flagship headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM6, are still relatively new, all things considered, meaning that catching them on sale isn't always a given. Granted, even though their sale price of $398 does net you a nice $61.99 price cut, they're still expensive headphones. (If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, I recommend the Sony WH-CH720N). That said, if you're looking for the best of the best, these Sony headphones offer some of the best sound, noise cancellation, and all-day wear I've ever tried. Plus, unlike their predecessors, their ear cups actually fold. Grab them on sale in any of the available four colorways.

If the WH-1000XM6 are out of your price range, go for a more budget-friendly option. The JLab JBuds Lux ANC are surprisingly great for a pair of headphones under $100, and right now you can get them for just $41.99.

As much as I love a good pair of premium earbuds, I'm less in love with the idea of paying over $200 for quality ANC and sound when you can get that for much, much cheaper. For day-to-day use, I often find myself reaching for the Sony WF-C710N earbuds. They have great battery life, a compact case for easy portability, really solid ANC, and a rounded sound profile worthy of the Sony name. Mashable contributor Alex Bracetti called them the best Sony earbuds you can get for under $100 (when they're on sale), and I'm comfortable saying they're some of the best earbuds under $100, period.

People love the Bose Ultra Open earbuds, but the Sony LinkBuds Clip are just as comfortable, sound at least as good, and at their full price, cost about $70 cheaper than the Bose buds. I have testing samples of both on my desk, and I find myself reaching for the Sony buds more.

On sale, they're over $100 cheaper than the Bose Ultra earbuds. Mashable contributor Simon Cohen deemed these earbuds a Mashable Selects winner, which means they're a favorite of the Mashable team. This sale price of $198 marks their biggest discount ever, and the first time they've ever gone below $200. For earbuds that just launched in January, that's not too shabby.

Temper your expectations around color with the Colorsoft: the hues tend to be more muted than what you get on a TV or tablet. Amazon's Big Spring Sale has arrived. The seasonal sale, which runs March 25 through 31, focuses on seasonal transition items — think cleaning supplies to freshen up your home and camping supplies to get outdoors. However, it wouldn't be a sale without tech deals, too.

We've spotted solid savings on tablets, good timing considering Apple just released a brand new one. The Apple iPad Air with M4 chip just dropped this month, and it's already on sale. But if iPads aren't your thing, don't worry, there are plenty of other tablet deals to shop.

Apple's latest iPad drop is the iPad Air with M4 chip. It's one of the brand's speediest, most efficient tablets, scoring 13,176 on the Geekbench 6 test, which puts it ahead of most laptops. When Apple released the new iPad Air, they didn't raise the price, keeping the midrange tablet at $599. However, it already received a price cut at Amazon.

During the Big Spring Sale, get the Apple iPad Air with M4 chip for just $559. While that's only $40 in savings and less than 10% off its list price, it's still a great deal considering it's a brand-new tablet.

So while we might like this deal best, if you want some bigger savings, there are plenty more deals to shop.

I've spent the last three years as Mashable's resident laptop expert, a job I take very seriously. The fact of the matter is that a good computer usually isn't a cheap one, so I go to great lengths to make sure any laptop I recommend is worth the investment. Put another way: I'm very picky because I look bad if I tell you to buy an expensive machine that actually sucks.

I'm so picky that I also have opinions on where you should buy your laptop. Admittedly, Amazon usually isn't my first choice: It doesn't stock as many models as other tech retailers like Best Buy, and it's filled with listings from third-party sellers I don't fully trust. (They can have different customer service policies than Amazon itself, and they might be advertising misleading specs.) But there are always some good laptop deals available during Amazon's sitewide sales throughout the year — including its Big Spring Sale, live now through March 31.

So far, the best laptop deals I'm seeing on Amazon this week involve MacBooks, MacBooks, and more MacBooks. Almost every Apple laptop from the past two years is on sale, if it's still in stock, with the biggest price cuts going to 2025's M4 MacBook Airs. They're all $200 to $300 off, making them significantly cheaper than their iterative M5 replacements, which Apple announced earlier this month. (Those are also on sale already, but only for about $50 off.)

Things are less exciting on the Windows side, but I managed to find a Samsung Galaxy laptop and an Asus gaming convertible on sale for record-low prices. Feel free to add those to your cart now. Several Microsoft Surface Laptop 7s are up to 26% off, but since all of them have been much cheaper before, I'd wait to see if their prices drop further later in the sale. It's very possible: An M5 MacBook Pro has gotten $70 cheaper on Amazon since the event started on Wednesday.

The 2025 MacBook Air is basically identical to its predecessor, save for its wireless chip and processor. (You're not missing out on much there: In our performance tests, the M4 version was only about six percent slower than the M5 model in both single- and multi-core workloads.) It features a vibrant Liquid Retina display, a backlit keyboard, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 12MP webcam with Center Stage support. At $949, this 13-inch configuration has never been cheaper.

We're officially halfway through Amazon's Big Spring Sale (which wraps up on March 31), and the discounts are holding strong. We've seen tons of deals on Apple products, robot vacuums, and speakers, but high-end fitness trackers are quietly getting some of the best price drops of the entire event.

If you just want a reliable, no-frills tracker that won't cost more than your gym membership, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is our favorite budget pick. It's normally priced right around $100, but for the Big Spring Sale, it's down to a very affordable $69.95.

In our review, Mashable's Sam Stone calls it the "budget-friendly fitness tracker of our dreams." It sits easily on the wrist and automatically categorizes your activities (so it knows if you're out for a bike ride or a run) without you having to manually mess with the settings.

Because we actually test these things, we do have to mention a couple of minor quirks. Stone says that the heart rate monitor can occasionally get a little inaccurate if your wrist gets super sweaty during an intense workout. Also, the battery life is closer to six or seven days rather than the advertised 10. But considering it fully charges in under two hours, that's barely an inconvenience — and as Stone points out, it "sure beats the Apple Watch's battery life."

If you aren't already rocking last year's model, the Google Pixel Watch 4 is an easy recommendation — especially while it's $60 off for the Big Spring Sale.

Mashable’s Senior Culture Reporter, Christianna Silva, says that while it looks similar to the previous version from afar, the new domed design "gives the smartwatch more depth and makes it feel more spacious and modern." One of the coolest upgrades is the new serviceable design. If you're looking for a solid Apple Watch deal, this $100 price drop on the Series 11 makes it a pretty stellar value. It's been chilling at this price for a while now, and while the Big Spring Sale hasn't dropped it any lower, $299 for the newest Apple Watch ain't bad. In our review, Mashable's Senior Editor, Stan Schroeder, says the Series 11 has a significantly longer battery life compared to its predecessor. "When I got my unit, I charged it to 100 percent and started wearing it at about 4 p.m. I wore it during the night (my sleep score was 81, which sounds a lot better than it felt), and the next day at 4 p.m. it was still at 38 percent," he writes. "That day, I charged it to full power late in the evening, and I only had to charge it again two days later."

It also has a tougher design with Ion-X glass that's twice as resistant to scratches, and a Sleep Score and hypertension notifications for flagging high blood pressure.

While it's since been replaced with the newer vívoactive 6 (which is not on sale right now), the Garmin vívoactive 5 is still a really solid pick. It's a perfect all-rounder for someone who wants a fitness tracker with plenty of smartwatch features.

In our review, Mashable's Lois Mackenzie says it "feels like it closes the gap between fitness tracker and stylish smartwatch much better than the 4," adding that it reminded her of the Venu 3. It can track everything from long runs and rides to stress, sleep, and body battery, and adds high-end recovery metrics like Training Readiness — though Mackenzie did point out it lacks an altimeter for tracking elevation on trail runs. It has a bright and responsive AMOLED display, and gets up to 11 days of battery power (Apple could literally never).

I personally gifted this watch to my boyfriend (he loves it) after snagging an epic Black Friday discount, but it's now even cheaper. At $174.28, it's over 40% off and is down to the lowest price we've ever seen.

Apples Siri might get an AI app store of its own

Siri's big overhaul will include integrations with various AI agents, and there will even be a marketplace for those in Apple's App Store.

This is according to a new report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who claims the changes are coming in iOS 27, which should get its first developer beta in June.

In an earlier report, Gurman said Siri is getting new AI smarts as a standalone app, similar to apps from OpenAI, Gemini, and Anthropic. Now, he says Siri will get a feature called "Extensions", allowing users to install third-party AI chatbots and run them inside Siri. Apple already did something similar with OpenAI's ChatGPT, but Extensions will allow for a wider choice of AI agents, and Extensions will get its own App Store section, turning it into an AI App Store of sorts.

Siri itself will get smarter thanks to Google's Gemini tech and Apple's own AI efforts. The idea, it seems, is for Apple to offer just enough functionality to keep people from switching to Android for better AI, and then offer additional features via third-party AI integrations, generating revenue through the App Store's 30 percent commission.

Released in August 2025, the Pips puts a unique spin on dominoes, creating a fun single-player experience that could become your next daily gaming habit.

Currently, if you're stuck, the game only offers to reveal the entire puzzle, forcing you to move onto the next difficulty level and start over. However, we have you covered! Below are piecemeal answers that will serve as hints so that you can find your way through each difficulty level.

How to play Pips

If you've ever played dominoes, you'll have a passing familiarity for how Pips is played. As we've shared in our previous hints stories for Pips, the tiles, like dominoes, are placed vertically or horizontally and connect with each other. The main difference between a traditional game of dominoes and Pips is the color-coded conditions you have to address. The touching tiles don't necessarily have to match.

The conditions you have to meet are specific to the color-coded spaces. For example, if it provides a single number, every side of a tile in that space must add up to the number provided. It is possible – and common – for only half a tile to be within a color-coded space.

Here are common examples you'll run into across the difficulty levels:

  • Number: All the pips in this space must add up to the number.

  • Equal: Every domino half in this space must be the same number of pips.

  • Not Equal: Every domino half in this space must have a completely different number of pips.

  • Less than: Every domino half in this space must add up to less than the number.

  • Greater than: Every domino half in this space must add up to more than the number.

If an area does not have any color coding, it means there are no conditions on the portions of dominoes within those spaces.

Greater Than (3): Everything in this space must be greater than 3. The answer is 4-4, placed horizontally.

Equal (0): Everything in this space must be equal to 0. The answer is 6-0, placed horizontally; 0-1, placed horizontally.

Number (10): Everything in this space must add up to 10. The answer is 5-5, placed horizontally.

Number (13): Everything in this space must add up to 13. The answer is 6-0, placed horizontally; 4-4, placed horizontally; 3-1, placed horizontally.

Number (4): Everything in this space must add up to 4. The answer is 0-1, placed horizontally; 3-1, placed horizontally; 1-1, placed horizontally.

Medium difficulty hints, answers for March 30 Pips

Greater Than (4): Everything in this space must be greater than 4. The answer is 0-4, placed vertically.

Less Than (4): Everything in this orange space must be less than 4. The answer is 0-6, placed vertically; 3-0, placed horizontally.

NYT Connections Sports Edition today: Hints and answers for March 30, 2026

Today's Connections: Sports Edition is for people who watch tennis.

As we've shared in previous hints stories, this is a version of the popular New York Times word game that seeks to test the knowledge of sports fans.

Like the original Connections, the game is all about finding the "common threads between words." And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier — so we've served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.

The NYT's latest daily word game has launched in association with The Athletic, the New York Times property that provides the publication's sports coverage. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

Each puzzle features 16 words and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise of anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake — players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.
