And right now, Amazon's got a ton of deals going on SSDs; there's just one thing you need to know: Most of these deals are fake.
Okay, maybe not all of them, but there's a widespread counterfeit scam going on right now that you need to watch out for. Scammers are selling counterfeit 2TB SSDs that look identical to the real thing but only hold about 120GB of storage. Once the drive is full, it will fail, and your files will be unreadable.

For instance, Amazon has the Samsung 870 EVO (2TB) internal SSD listed for $399.99 right now. That's a 62% discount or a $640 price cut.
If you want to make sure you're getting the real deal, use this checklist before and after you buy:
Check the seller first: This specific $399.99 listing is shipped and sold directly by Amazon.com and links straight to the official Samsung storefront. That's your first green flag. If you see SSDs sold by random third-party marketplace sellers, don't buy them.
Inspect the physical drive: Once your package arrives, look closely at the sticker. If the edges are sloppy or it looks like it's been peeled off and reapplied at some point, be suspicious.
Run a capacity test: Don't trust it with important files until you run a test through the Samsung Magician software to make sure the internal serial number matches the sticker, or use a free tool like H2testw to verify it's a true 2TB drive.
With just days to go before Samsung's next big product showcase, the products themselves are leaking to an extreme degree, as per usual. While Apple tends to keep a tight lid on its devices' specs and features, Samsung smartphones and watches typically leak widely ahead of their official launch.
The latest leak comes courtesy of prolific leaker Evan Blass. On Substack, Blass posted several very official-looking renders of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, just a couple of days before Samsung Galaxy Unpacked in London. The renders show not only the device's appearance but also text showcasing various specs.

It might be loading or has been removed.Those leaked specs include an IP69K dust- and water-resistance rating and an 800mAh battery, much larger than the 590mAh cell in last year's model. It's also supposed to be 12 percent thinner and a good deal brighter, with its display's peak brightness set at 5,000 nits, up from 3,000 nits on the previous watch. That matches an earlier leak, which claimed the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 would have "a record-breakingly bright display."
Lastly, the leak claims the wearable will supposedly use the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip. Pretty much all of that lines up with other recent leaks.
There are only about 48 hours left before Unpacked at the time of publication, but maybe we'll get even more leaks before then.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday was something of a first for the tournament, in that it featured a halftime show similar to the kind you typically associate with the Super Bowl.
