President Donald Trump's new White House app is a privacy nightmare for some users.
On Friday, the Trump administration released a new White House mobile app for iOS and Android devices. The official White House account on X shared links to the apps and said that the app would live-stream and provide real-time updates "straight from the source."
One thing they didn't share, however, is that when downloading the app, users are handing over quite a bit of information to the Trump administration.
The White House app requests user permission to access precise locations, network connections, fingerprint and biometric data, the ability to prevent the device from sleeping, and even modify or delete contents of shared storage.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.X user @Thereallo1026 went so far as decompiling the White House app and found that it's sharing the exact location data of its users every 4.5 minutes and sending that information to a third-party server.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. The third-party, OneSignal, is a company that provides push notification services. Location data is typically used by OneSignal to push notifications to users for location-based campaigns. While many companies use OneSignal's services, it is particularly concerning for the U.S. government to collect this data through an app that encourages users to report people to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
However, the most concerning part of @Thereallo1026's findings is that the White House app is apparently loading YouTube video embeds via a random GitHub user's personal page. According to the report, if this GitHub user's account is ever compromised, an attacker could "serve arbitrary HTML and JavaScript to every user of this app."
In addition to this major security issue, the in-app web browser on the White House app injects CSS and JavaScript that removes cookie consent prompts, GDPR banners, logins, and paywalls from third-party websites.
So, if for some reason you were compelled to download the new official White House app, be aware of these security and privacy issues.

Less than 4 months ago, Australia banned social media for kids under 16, sparking a wave of similar proposals from governments around the world. The latest effort to ban social media for children now comes from Austria. In a press release, the Austrian government announced that a bill will be introduced by the end of June to ban social media use for children under 14.
According to the press release, a mandatory minimum age of 14 for social media would only be one part of the bill seeking to address child safety online. The bill would also introduce media literacy in schools to help young people "recognize disinformation and radicalization."
SEE ALSO: Pinterest CEO says ban kids under 16 from social mediaThe Austrian government said these measures would be taken in order to address the issues children have faced as a result of social media, such as cyberbullying, addiction, and mental health problems.
While the press release doesn't provide many details, it does mention that any bill introduced would address data privacy concerns related to age verification methods, ensuring that users' information is protected.
Many social media platforms have policies requiring users to be a certain age to join. However, these rules are implemented by companies themselves, with little to no incentive to uphold them. At the government level, however, as in Australia's first such bill, these bills slap social media companies with hefty fines for allowing users under age to join their platforms. The U.S. may be joining soon, as a bipartisan group of Senators proposed a bill earlier this year that would ban social media for children under 13.
The U.S. also recently saw social media companies like Meta and YouTube lose two separate trials regarding social platforms harming young people's mental health. It will be interesting to see how U.S. lawmakers go forward with their age limit proposals following those verdicts.
Welcome to your guide to Pips, the latest game in the New York Times catalogue.
Released in August 2025, the Pips puts a unique spin on dominoes, creating a fun single-player experience that could become your next daily gaming habit.
Currently, if you're stuck, the game only offers to reveal the entire puzzle, forcing you to move onto the next difficulty level and start over. However, we have you covered! Below are piecemeal answers that will serve as hints so that you can find your way through each difficulty level.
How to play PipsIf you've ever played dominoes, you'll have a passing familiarity for how Pips is played. As we've shared in our previous hints stories for Pips, the tiles, like dominoes, are placed vertically or horizontally and connect with each other. The main difference between a traditional game of dominoes and Pips is the color-coded conditions you have to address. The touching tiles don't necessarily have to match.
SEE ALSO: Wordle today: Answer, hints for March 29, 2026The conditions you have to meet are specific to the color-coded spaces. For example, if it provides a single number, every side of a tile in that space must add up to the number provided. It is possible – and common – for only half a tile to be within a color-coded space.
Here are common examples you'll run into across the difficulty levels:
Number: All the pips in this space must add up to the number.
Equal: Every domino half in this space must be the same number of pips.
Not Equal: Every domino half in this space must have a completely different number of pips.
Less than: Every domino half in this space must add up to less than the number.
Greater than: Every domino half in this space must add up to more than the number.
If an area does not have any color coding, it means there are no conditions on the portions of dominoes within those spaces.

SAVE $56: As of March 29, the Our Place Wonder Oven is on sale at Amazon for only $129 instead of its usual $185. That's a savings of 30% and its lowest price ever.
Opens in a new window Credit: Our Place Our Place Wonder Oven (13-quart) $129 at AmazonMy air fryer bit the bullet at the end of 2025, which led me on the surprisingly overwhelming journey of choosing a new one. The market is overflowing with options, but I had a few priorities in mind on my search: non-toxic materials, a compact build that won't waste counter space, and an aesthetically pleasing design that matches my colorful kitchen. One of the only air fryers that checked all the boxes was the Our Place Wonder Oven.
I received the Wonder Oven as a gift, but honestly, it's one of the few appliances I'd gladly spend my own money on. Especially now that it's dropped to a new record-low price during the Big Spring Sale. It typically retails for $185, but you can pick it up in any color for just $129. That's a total steal for an air fryer that can also toast, reheat, roast, bake, and broil.
The Wonder Oven comes with three different trays you can swap out depending on what you're cooking — a chromed steel air fryer basket and wire rack, and an aluminum bake pan with non-toxic ceramic coating. There's also a chromed steel crumb tray to slide in at the bottom to keep the oven from getting too messy. You can also easily slip all three inside for storage when you're not using the oven.
It takes up just a sliver of counter space compared to other air fryers, yet it can fit a whole chicken up to 4.5 pounds. I was honestly concerned with how tiny it is when I opened it for the first time, but it's actually a perfect size to feed two people.
Did I mention this air fryer oven is actually cute? Its retro-inspired design features manual knobs instead of digital controls. So it doesn't just look like a hunk of tech on my counter; it looks like a tiny oven from the '70s.
With Amazon's Big Spring Sale running through March 31, you still have a few days to snag the Our Place Wonder Oven for its best price ever. If you're in the market for an air fryer, I urge you to consider this one.

It takes the gaming experience to a whole other level and could make the marginal difference between success and failure. Arguably, the monitor is the most crucial of all hardware. So if you’re upgrading, you want the right model — and for the right price. That being the case, we’re recommending this deal on the Samsung 40-inch G7.
Thanks to the Big Spring Sale, the Samsung 40-inch G7 Gaming Monitor is currently priced at $699.99, a massive drop of 42%. This curved monitor is usually priced at $1,199.99, so you’re saving $500 in total.
SEE ALSO: Review: Is the Antigravity A1 drone the DJI replacement we've been hoping for?Samsung are one of the very best when it comes to TVs and monitors, and this model is no exception. A mid-sized monitor, it has an impressively fast refresh rate on 180Hz and a 1ms response time — that means silky smooth gameplay — plus built in gaming spec such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The real star of the show, however, is its ultrawide curved display, which delivers a WUHD resolution (5120 x 2160). Even at a modest 40 inches — ideal for more compact gaming stations — it’s fully immersive.
Don't miss your chance to save $500 on the Samsung 40-inch G7 Gaming Monitor as part of the Amazon Big Spring Sale. Now just $699.99 for a limited time.
TL;DR: As of March 29, the Samsung S95F 65-Inch OLED TV is marked down to $2,197.99 in Amazon's Spring Sale. That's 27% off the list price of $2,997.99.

If you didn’t already know (seriously, shoppers — where have you been?), the Amazon Big Spring Sale is in full flow, with deals across all kinds of products, including laptops, iPads, gaming tech, and — that’s right — TVs.
One of the best TV deals we’ve seen is on the Samsung S95F 65-Inch OLED TV, which has been marked down by a sensational $800. Be sure not to miss it. There are just a few days left, with the Big Spring Sale coming to an end after March 31. The Samsung S95F 65-Inch OLED TV is currently marked down to $2,197.99, a 27% discount from the list price of $2,997.99. According to camelcamelcamel, it’s just one cent off this TV’s record low price.
SEE ALSO: Review: Is the Antigravity A1 drone the DJI replacement we've been hoping for?We can’t recommend the Samsung S95F 65-Inch OLED TV enough. Samsung is among the very best names when it comes to dazzling smart TVs, and this one’s an absolute whopper — 65 inches of OLED 4K magnificence with access to all your favorite streaming platforms via an easy-to-navigate Tizen operating system and AI upscaling.
It’s also stacked with spec for gamers — including a 165Hz refresh rate — and boasts Object Tracking Sound+, a smart audio technology that emits sound from where the action is happening on the screen. So the sound actually travels with the action. Elsewhere in the features package, there’s an AI motion enhancer that smooths out finer details — particularly good for watching fast-paced sports.

TL;DR: As of March 29, the Roborock Q10 S5+ Robot Vacuum is marked down to $279.99 in the Amazon Spring Sale. That's 49% off the list price of $549.99.

That’s right, the third annual Big Spring Sale — which continues through March 31 — has stacks of tech deals, whether you’re in the market for Apple devices, laptops, smart TVs, or even drones. And among those deals is a sleeper price on the Roborock Q10 S5+ Robot Vacuum, a vac and mop combo that does the dirty work on your behalf.
The Roborock Q10 S5+ Robot Vacuum has been marked down by a huge 49%, which puts it at the discounted price of $279.99. That's a total saving of $270 — this robo-vac's biggest ever discount. It's a full $50 cheaper than its previous lowest price.
SEE ALSO: Review: Is the Antigravity A1 drone the DJI replacement we've been hoping for? This robot vacuum can pretty much do it. It tackles both carpets and hard floors thanks to a combination of hard suction vacuuming and a mop system that uses vibration technology. It can detect the difference between floors and automatically lifts its mop pads to prevent carpets getting wet. The robo-vac finds its way around your home using a LiDar navigation system that scans your living space. There’s also multi-level mapping, which means it memorizes up to four different floors, plus safe obstacle avoidance technology.
A dual anti-tangle brush means it’s great for pet owners, automatically untangling hairs as it cleans. It’s also self-emptying, with capacity in the docking station for up to 70 days of dirt before you have to empty it yourself.
All you need to do is programme its multiple modes via the Roborock app and put the daily chore of vacuuming out of your mind. Grab the Roborock Q10 S5+ Robot Vacuum for $279.99 in the Amazon Big Spring Sale and save $270.
TL;DR: As of March 29, the Anker Solix F3800 Portable Power Station is marked down to $3,498.99 in the Amazon Big Spring Sale. That 53% off the list price of $7,397.

While it’s tempting to splash all your cash on the exciting smart devices — Apple deals, hi-spec TVs, and more tech favorites — this kind of sale event is also an opportunity to stock up on expensive essentials. For instance, if you’ve ever wanted a top-level power station for emergencies, outdoor excursions, or off-grid living, there’s a super-powered deal on the Anker Solix Portable Power Station right now.
The Anker Solix Portable Power Station is currently priced at $3,498.99. That’s a massive 53% off the list price of $7,397. That saves you almost $4,000. According to camelcamelcamel, that’s the lowest-ever price for this power station, expansion battery, and solar panel bundle.
SEE ALSO: Review: Is the Antigravity A1 drone the DJI replacement we've been hoping for?And make no mistake: This power station is a serious piece of kit, delivering 3.84kWh of power — which is expandable to 26.9kWh with additional batteries — with a total capacity of 6,000W. That’s enough to power appliances (it could power your refrigerator for over 14 hours, for instance) or even power your RV when you’re on your travels. It charges via the mains or an included solar panel, which delivers 400W of clean power.
Don't miss the Anker Solix Portable Power Station while it's available at its best-ever price — now $3,498.99 in the Amazon Big Spring Sale for a total saving of $3,998.01.
Most of the year's major flagship TVs announced in January are typically out by the end of March, cueing retailers to push deals on last year's TVs even harder. March was further established as one of the best months to buy a TV when Amazon started holding a massive annual spring sale. The 2026 Big Spring Sale runs from March 25 through 31, and a ton of Amazon TV deals are proving that the annual price drop cycle is real.
SEE ALSO: What to look for when buying a TV, as told through this easy TV specs guideIt's not just Amazon's in-house Fire TVs that see big discounts during the Big Spring Sale (Amazon Fire TVs are hardly the best TVs you can get for the money right now). I've been tracking new TV releases and comparing TV specs at Mashable for years, and I consistently find that the most worthwhile Amazon TV deals are from solid budget brands like TCL and Hisense, with a few sizes of Samsung's The Frame occasionally thrown in.
Pro tip: Best Buy tends to have way more options for deals on flagship Samsung and LG TVs. For instance, Samsung just released its 2026 Neo QLED TVs on March 24 — Best Buy's stock of on-sale 2025 versions of those TVs, like the QN70F and QN80F, has been much more stable than Amazon's this week. Amazon barely has any recent LG TVs in stock at all, while Best Buy has countless 2024 and 2025 QNED and OLED models on sale.
SEE ALSO: Best Buy’s Tech Fest is over, but these deals are still worth your moneyAt any rate, I'm tracking the best sales on TVs at Amazon throughout the end of the Big Spring Sale on March 31, with the rolling list updated as prices change. Every model featured here is at, or lower than, its previous best price based on data from camelcamelcamel, so these are genuinely competitive offers. I'm keeping a special eye out for fresh discounts across the models I've picked as the best 65-inch TVs you can buy so far this year.
Best Big Spring Sale TV deal Hisense 75-inch U7 QLED 4K TV $897.96 at AmazonOne TV that's actually beating its previous record-low sale price is the 2025 75-inch Hisense U7. Currently 31% off, it's $103 cheaper than it was just a month ago during Presidents' Day sales.
The 2026 version of the same TV was just unveiled on March 6, so a new price drop on the predecessor model certainly tracks. The 2026 75-inch U7 will cost $1,999.99 — more than $1,000 steeper than the 2025 model's $897.96 sale price. Those are the kind of steals I was talking about. The 65-inch model is also at a new record-low $697.96 if 75 inches is a bit larger than you'd like.
This mini LED model packs a serious punch for the price. Its brightness in SDR and HDR gets consistently great notes across the internet, with glare handling strong enough for most sunlit rooms. You don't always see a 165 Hz refresh rate in budget to mid-range TVs, so the Hisense U7 is a top contender for an XL gaming TV under $1,000.

I have seven robot vacuums in my apartment right at this moment, and those are all just models that have come out in 2026. Perhaps that gives you an idea of how many robot vacuums I test at home on a yearly basis — and why I'm always super confident in telling readers which robot vacuum deals are worth it during any Amazon sale event.
So, I'm back with an updated list of robot vacuum recommendations for Amazon's 2026 Big Spring Sale, which is live now through March 31. A good robot vacuum is a staple in my general spring cleaning starter kit because automating your floor care quite literally frees up some time to focus on the chores you don't do as often.
SEE ALSO: The Shark UV Reveal robot vacuum came out less than a month ago. It's already on sale for Amazon's spring sale.A ton of solid robovacs at all price points are up to 50% off, significantly expanding the number of options within your ideal budget. Even the fanciest flagship Dreame, Roborock, and Shark robot vacuums that just came out are already seeing discounts. I'm tracking all of the best Amazon spring sale robot vacuum deals below.
(Looking for the best cordless vacuum deals or the best spring cleaning deals to restock kitchen, bathroom, and laundry products? I'm tracking those, too.)
Best robot vacuum on sale overall Eufy C28 $499.99 at AmazonRead Mashable's review of the Eufy C28.
While I'm stoked that the most powerful robot vacuums of the year are actually seeing decent discounts, they still cost more than $1,000 on sale. So the more realistic route for my "best robot vacuum deal overall" pick is the Eufy C28, now under $500 (compared to its usual $799). It's still a 2026 premium robot vacuum and mop combo that rocked during my testing, and it's likely the most affordable mainstream roller mop robot vacuum you'll find this season.
If you're jaded from a bad mopping robot vacuum experience in the past, it's probably because it smeared dirty water more than it scrubbed. I think that this Eufy's self-rinsing roller mop will change your mind. Its fluffy material is already more absorbent than the typical thin mopping pad — but just to ensure liquid spills aren't being smeared around, the C28's roller gets rinsed with clean water multiple times per second. Its self-emptying dock also washes and dries the mop after each cleaning.
Best budget robot vacuum deal 3i G10+ $199.99 at AmazonRead Mashable's review of the 3i G10+.
In search of a cheap robot vacuum that doesn't suck? The $149.99 Shark Ion robot vacuum that probably popped up first at Amazon is far from the best robot vacuum under $200 during this sale. Instead, I'd point you to a more niche budget pick that wowed me during testing. Last year, I said that the 3i G10+ was "the most impressive robot vacuum under $500" (and that you've probably never heard of it). Now, it's on sale for a record-low $199.99.
The G10+ uses a unique dust compression system to keep you off dustbin emptying duty for 60 days, but without requiring space for a traditional self-empty dock. This means that the G10+ can live under relatively low-clearance furniture like a couch or TV stand. In this price range, I was blown away by its small obstacle avoidance capabilities and livestream pet camera. The Shark Ion doesn't even have smart mapping for cleaning specific rooms on command.
If you don't want to shell out that extra $50, you can spend the same $149.99 on the Roborock Q7 M5. That still secures mopping, room or zone cleaning through LiDAR smart mapping, and 10,000 Pa of suction power, beating the Shark Ion by a long shot.

For the Big Spring Sale, Amazon is going hard with DJI deals, and you can find massive discounts on the brand's popular line of creator gadgets. I personally use the DJI Mic Mini and DJI Osmo Mobile 7P Gimbal when shooting videos for Mashable (check our Instagram story to see my latest).
But let me also call your attention to the cult-favorite DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Vlogging camera, which almost never goes on sale like this. Pro creators and YouTubers are obsessed with this camera (in my review, I wrote, "it should replace whatever vlogging camera you're using now"), so grab it before it goes out of stock again!

In my testing, they've beaten out more expensive Bluetooth speakers from brands like Bose and Sonos. They're also extremely portable, super easy to use, and totally waterproof, i.e., perfect for spring and summer hangouts.

So, if you want to add some fresh air to your apartment or home, get a HEPA air purifier that can remove 99.98% of allergens, bacteria, and other microscopic particles. This Shark model is currently 45% off for Prime members, which is probably why it's almost sold out.

This humble little device blocks you from using your phone during set times so you can break your doomscrolling and screentime addiction — and it works! In her review, Mashable's Sam Mangino wrote that the Brick is "the only thing that cuts my screen time in half."
