As Apple gears up to host a "special experience" on March 4, deals on older Apple devices are popping up at third-party retailers with increased frequency. (This always happens around its launch events.) I'd argue that Walmart has the one to beat. As of mid-February, the 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 is on sale there for only $229, or $200 off.

This deal is especially juicy for a couple of reasons. For one, it makes the Series 10 even cheaper than Apple's budget smartwatch, the $249 Apple Watch SE. And two, this exact same Series 10 was $50 more expensive last Black Friday. Walmart doesn't provide price history data for its products, but I'd venture to guess that this is its lowest price to date.

This offer comes on the heels of the big box store's Presidents Day sale, which featured a $200 discount on a 42mm Apple Watch Series 10 with cellular connectivity. It sold out a day after I first spotted it, so I wouldn't dawdle on this one, either. At the time of writing, only one variant with a silver aluminum case and a denim Sport Band was still in stock.

At this price, the Apple Watch Series 10 is an especially compelling alternative to the newer Series 11, which has the same MSRP. The only upgrades you miss out on are a more scratch-resistant display and a slightly longer battery life. Otherwise, the two models' chips, sensors, and watchOS features are identical. The report focuses on a display tech called OLEDoS (OLED on silicon), a type of display that can show a high-resolution picture on a very small screen area. The AR glasses we see around today, including Meta's Ray-Ban Display, mostly use TFT LCD or LCoS (Liquid Crystal on silicon) displays, but it appears that both Apple and Meta are intent on using OLEDoS for their next-gen AR glasses.

Apple's own Vision Pro mixed reality headset, for example, uses OLEDoS for its two high-res displays.

OLEDoS has the advantage of being thin, light, and having a lower power consumption than LCoS displays. A third variant of near-eye display tech is LEDoS (LED on silicon), which has a longer lifespan and even lower power consumption than OLEDoS, but it's not widely manufactured yet.

As far as specs go, Apple's AR glasses will reportedly have two 0.6-inch OLEDoS displays, one on each lens.

Notably, a Bloomberg report from February 2025 claimed Apple has effectively canceled a version of AR glasses that would have to pair with a Mac to operate. The new AR glasses, which are still in the works, would likely be a standalone device.

The trailer also highlights some of the characters — both new and familiar — whom Din and Grogu will be crossing paths with. Sigourney Weaver plays New Republic pilot and colonel Ward, who appears to be responsible for bringing Din and Grogu into the fold. Steven Blum returns as the voice of Star Wars Rebels character Garazeb "Zeb" Orrellios, who also appeared in The Mandalorian Season 3.

Then, of course, there's the matter of The Bear star Jeremy Allen White as the voice of Jabba the Hutt's son Rotta. Do we actually hear White's Hutt voice in the trailer? No. But do we see a very buff Rotta tearing it up in a fighting pit? Yes. Consider me intrigued and mildly terrified by this big, beefy, Bear-y Hutt.
